In Canada - It’s been happening for over 11 years with H1B Visas. The East Indians from India here found Loopholes of reapplying to Colleges and Universities for an Extension of Additional Three Years to Gain Permanent Residency. It all needs to stop and end to Deport Them All back to India.

The reason that Americans have difficulty finding affordable housing is due to influx of 20 million people in 4 years. A 30 year mortgage is not available to the average citizen who has no work history. However, if there is enough money involved it can happen as you have pointed out. It frustrates me to see “Christian” pastors talk about removing benefits from illegal aliens while some of their congregation is living in their cars because they can’t afford rent due those apartments going to non citizens. All prices go up when you flood any market with 20 million people - food, housing, gas, medical services, etc.

I've come across cases where people appear to be using morphed Green Card (GC) copies to obtain jobs. Some are actually OPT (student visa) candidates and may not have the experience they claim. I have collected thousands of pieces of evidence related to this.

H1B folks pay about 40% income tax. Indians as a whole pay disproportionate amount of tax, about 6% of the total tax collected, while being only 1.5% of the population. While most young Americans don’t even file a tax return, let alone pay tax, until they turn 30.
