FSD slams on the brakes for a cat in the road that doesn’t even exist. This is FSD 12.6.4 on HW3, which is a lot more sensitive to shadows & objects in the road with the 2026.8.6 update. There are many reports of brake stabbing. It brings me back to the days when I was testing with v10.3 of FSD back in 2021. It’s interesting that it’s the same FSD version as before, and not something like 12.6.4.1, but I guess Tesla can change the weights without changing the version. And they’ve likely been doing this for a while with 12.6.4. 😒

Another user Carnasis submitted this crash footage of his Tesla being T-boned while FSD was engaged. Raw video analyzed using CamCutApp telemetry visualization. The other driver was ultimately found at fault after entering the roadway and colliding with the Tesla while FSD v14.2.2.5 was engaged. What makes this crash interesting is that there appear to be multiple contributing factors: • The driver was pressing the accelerator before the collision, causing the vehicle to accelerate to roughly 40 mph. Had the throttle not been overridden, FSD may have approached the area at a lower speed. • A portion of the striking vehicle was visible between the stopped cars before it fully emerged into the roadway. FSD did not react until the vehicle entered its path, leaving only a few hundred milliseconds to respond. By the time emergency braking began, there simply wasn’t enough distance left to avoid the collision. The other driver caused the crash, but it’s an interesting example of how throttle overrides, speed, and anticipation of partially occluded vehicles can all influence the outcome. Tesla AI

I just want to put this out there. FSD is worth every penny. My entire family plus my brother, late night driving home from a wonderful trip to Greece, meeting with good friends of Tesla Universe. While on the way home. My husband engaged FSD. Navigated to home. Just left the airport in Denver. I was in the back seat of our model X with both my sons. My husband in the drivers seat my brother in the front passenger seat. I started to doze off suddenly was awoken by the car jerking. Only to see what appeared to be a driver of the other car falling asleep at the wheel. It was sometime between 1-2 am. FSD took over and moved us from harm. I’ve never seen it do a maneuver like this before. It was amazing. It saved our lives. I highly recommend purchasing this feature. You might need it someday. Elon Musk 𝙺𝚒𝚖𝚋𝚊𝚕 𝙼𝚞𝚜𝚔 🤠 Tesla So shout out to the hard working people at Tesla for keeping us all safe. Also please get this feature out to the countries/territories that don’t have access yet. Since Tesla FSD Supervised got approved to use in Belgium so much footage has been published here on X. We cannot be anything but impressed. I will add one more to that list. This was our first testdrive with FSD Supervised in Belgium.🇧🇪 FSD avoided an crash with a Range Rover. It stopped instantly and saw the car before we saw it. The Range Rover was driving too fast and stopped last minute. The footage doesn’t show us exactly how it felt but believe me when I say Tesla_Calle and myself were deeply impressed. It’s wild how legacy media seizes every opportunity to spin a negative narrative about Tesla Full Self-Driving. Even when they know the facts are not true. It’s sad to me. This technology literally saves countless human lives (even animals lives) everyday. Every single person that I’ve ever shown FSD to says it’s amazing. First hand experiences shield you from the blatant lies. We are truly lucky to live in a time where we have access to the most incredible technologies. Two police officers approached me in Yosemite today and told me I “cannot use FSD” because, according to them, there have been “many accidents” involving it. I highly doubt either of them has spent hundreds of hours using the latest version, bc this is what FSD v14.3.6 was doing for me… smoothly guiding my Cybertruck through Yosemite’s winding roads, slowing before sharp curves, staying centered in its lane and handling the entire drive while I enjoyed the scenery and ready to take over. I told them that I trust this technology to drive me more than I trust myself to manually drive. Of course no technology is accident-free… but the real question is how often accidents happen compared to normal human driving. And according to Tesla’s latest reported safety data, vehicles using FSD (Supervised) travel roughly 7x farther between major collisions than the U.S. average. FSD is still supervised, and the driver remains responsible at all times… but saying the technology is unsafe simply bc accidents have happened ignores the rate, the data and how quickly the system continues to improve. So I gave them both the middle finger and continued my trip on Tesla FSD.
