Right now, the smartest real world AI in the world - Tesla FSD v14.3.1 - is driving me to Napa on a 2-hour trip, 100% autonomously in Mad Max mode, taking the most efficient route possible. I’m sitting back, enjoying my fresh coffee, completely stress-free, not worrying one bit about getting in an accident (I don’t even know where I’m going tbh…) High-speed Starlink is beaming down from space straight into my Cyberbeast, so my two kids can learn and work with Grok - the smartest digital AI in the world - while my significant other sits right beside them, doing work on her computer during the commute. You and I may be on the same road, heading to the same place… but bc of Tesla and SpaceX’s technology, we are living completely different lives. I’m living in the yr 2069, a majority of people are living in 2026.

I’m literally munching on kimbap and tofu having a whole meal, while the car takes the turn for me. My significant other is doing some work, my kids are learning on the ipad, reading books, and at the same time I’m recording the whole FSD trip and uploading it all via Starlink. We may be driving on the same road as everyone else, but it honestly feels like we’re living in a completely different world…

For most companies, this feature would be the main headline event. Today I had Grok in my Cybertruck start my day with a motivational quote from Elon Musk. Then I told it to take me to the Apple Visitor Center. Then the Tesla store. Then coffee at Starbucks. While driving, it told me the weather, updated me on how $TSLA was doing, while I just sat there, completely hands-free, watching my Tesla take me exactly where I asked, all in real-time. Then I sipped my morning tea from my Tesla mug. I danced in my seat a little bit bc I was happy. And my Tesla handled the entire drive. Just my voice and no stress. This is what the future looks like, and it’s only possible bc of the power and synergy of Tesla FSD and xAI’s Grok. Once you experience this, just 1 time, there’s no going back. I feel bad for all my doubters and haters who had to drive themselves manually to work today… bc I didn’t.

One of the biggest things Tesla FSD has changed for my family is how we use road trip time. A lot of parents ask me how my kids spend so much time learning, reading, and asking questions, and why we don’t load up our summers with endless camps. The truth is, some of our best learnings happen right in my Tesla. While Tesla FSD handles 100% of the driving, our road trips become productive family time. We bring books, laptops, and our curiosity on our rides. My kids read, learn new things with Grok, research topics they’re interested in, play educational games, and ask questions about the world around them. With Starlink keeping us connected anywhere, the car becomes literally a mobile classroom. What’s funny is that my kids are growing up thinking this is normal. To them, learning with Daddy while traveling down the highway feels completely natural. Years ago, road trips were mostly about getting from Point A to Point B. Today, they’re an opportunity for our family to learn, create, explore ideas, and spend quality time together. The combination of Tesla FSD, Starlink, computers, books, and AI has completely changed how our family travels.

Using Tesla FSD and looking out at the road makes you realize that the majority of drivers out there are barely paying attention while they manually drive their vehicles. It is beyond frustrating that people do this, but the genie is out of the bottle now - I don’t think there’s anything society can do to convince people not to use their phones while driving. That is why self-driving needs to become the norm as soon as possible. Not only does it make YOU safer while using it, it makes it safer for everyone else on the road who is impacted by how you drive. I really hope insurance companies start to reduce rates for people who use autonomous driving features - I really think that would be a big motivator (money) for people to start using FSD.

FSD V14.1.4 | 37 Minute Drive with the push of a button Everyday that I am out on the road I drive past all the other cars and I wonder how many of them realize what Tesla has accomplished already with FSD. Given that so many Tesla owners don't even know about FSD I have to assume the majority of other people on the road also do not know. I'm not sure what the answer is, but somehow the public needs to be made aware of what's happening here - at this point it's undeniably good and more people need to try it out and experience it for themselves. Who all is enjoying V14 so far?

My significant other just rode 22 minutes on FSD v14.1.7 (MAD MAX MODE) on my Cyberbeast in the Bay Area, CA. She never touched the steering wheel, pedals, and never intervened. She just pressed one button, just like calling an elevator. It took us parking lot to parking lot, completely on its own, and the entire drive was flawless. I filmed the whole thing in 4K so people can see it with their own eyes. For anyone still saying Tesla will “never solve autonomy”… they already did. Autonomy is here. Absolutely amazing work to the Tesla team.

Driving through the mountains of Utah today, watching Tesla FSD handle the drive while I simply took in the scenery, I couldn’t stop thinking about where this is all heading. I really believe there will come a day when steering wheels, pedals, and even manually driving a car will feel as outdated as riding a horse to work or using a flip phone today. People will look back and wonder why we spent so much time stuck behind the wheel when technology could do it more safely and let us use that time for the things that actually matter to us. That’s why I think Tesla FSD is one of the most consequential technologies being developed today. It gives people their time back, reduces stress on long drives, and it enables a future with far fewer crashes & deaths. If autonomous driving reaches its full potential, which I believe it will, it will fundamentally change how we live, travel, and connect with one another. Sitting here while my Cybertruck drives through scenery like this, it feels like I’m watching the beginning of a massive shift in transportation and I bet future generations will wonder how we ever accepted driving ourselves anywhere.
