Qantas “Project Sunrise” official launch with the A350-1000 doing nonstop Sydney to London flights in late 2026 gets further delayed! Delivery of the first A350-1000 aircraft designated for ultra-long-haul flights to Qantas has been postponed to April 2027. Airbus attributed the delay to issues in supply chains. The deal includes 12 aircraft for Qantas Airways. The 238-seat widebody spans four cabins, including six First Class suites, 52 Business Class suites, 40 Premium Economy seats and 140 Economy seats. To operate flights of up to 22 hours, with a special modification to the variant, Airbus added a 20,000-liter rear center fuel tank. #aircraft #airlines #flight

Chang, Starlux Airlines received Taiwan's first Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, bearing registration number B-58551, at Taoyuan International Airport on Tuesday (Jan. 6) at 10 a.m., marking a milestone for the carrier. The carrier aims to expand its fleet further in 2026 with the addition of five more A350-1000 aircraft. A China Eastern pilot used the A350's thrust reverser to reverse the aircraft on the bay as it hit the jet bridge. Using the thrust reverser of an A350 to reverse the aircraft would be the first time I have seen this. 2 May 2026, Shanghai Airport. Why did he use the thrust reverser twice? Why not just set the brake after the first time?
