Olympic officials had told the athlete, Vladyslav Heraskevych, that the helmet violated the Games’ prohibition on political speech. According to them, the National Olympic Committee is "in good standing and complies with the Olympic Charter." Comment from me: Belarus also complies with Russia and is an accomplice in Russia's war against Ukraine. Russia uses Belarus to launch missiles and drones at Ukrainian cities, and Belarus fully supports Russia. 📹: The wall of remembrance for Ukrainian athletes killed by Russia at the Olympic Stadium in Kyiv. Many of these athletes could have competed in the Olympics, but Russia killed them, with Belarus as accomplice. Sports is not beside politics.
