Video circulating on social media allegedly shows a Daytona Beach police officer punching a man in handcuffs after the two exchanged words over an open alcohol bottle. The Daytona Beach Police Department released edited bodycam video of the incident on Friday afternoon. In it, the officer approaches the man with the open container and tells him to pour it out or he will go to jail. The man declines and hands the bottle to the officer and tells him to throw it out. The man then tosses the cork on the ground and turns away.That's when he is tackled and surrounded by three officers. Video on social media shows the man being punched repeatedly by the officer. Bystanders could be heard screaming. The bodycam released by DBPD shows a portion of the punching. The officer involved has been placed in an administrative role pending an investigation
