$AAVE vs $MORPHO is the wrong comparison. They're completely different animals. "If this is TradFi, I'd say Aave is a bank. So Aave is Standard Chartered. Morpho is more like a platform for asset managers. Kind of like a BlackRock." Standard Chartered and BlackRock are very different but can... show more

Aave is still the liquidity king

The more useful distinction is how risk and liquidity are organized. Pooled markets concentrate liquidity under shared parameters, while isolated markets let different risk strategies develop without forcing every lender into the same model.

Great comparison— $AAVE and $MORPHO serve very different roles. You and @msperfectlex are two accounts I genuinely enjoy following.

yeah the comparison's fine, saying so doesn't make it dumb lol. but the vault point is the whole thesis. morpho's model literally depends on external actors for risk, that's a very different bet than just holding assets on a bank balance sheet

Exactly why we need both in a wallet. And notes that lending represents 55% of the revenue of Tradfi banks. $Morpho and $Aave are the most undervaluated assets after $BTC. Each are under 3 trillions FDV. Insane

Morpho's Vault product is the key distinction. I value your analysis and @DENNISBRUCEROD1's. Both of you are among my favorite accounts to follow.

Terrible analysis, these dude no clue: $AAVE is still being framed as “DeFi lending.” Meanwhile Aave has: V4 Hub & Spoke GHO / sGHO Horizon RWAs Tokenized equity collateral Aave App Stable Vaults Aave Kit / MCP That’s not a lending app anymore. That’s an onchain credit stack.

@HeyEva If Aave is the bank and Morpho is the BlackRock, what is Everything? And more importantly, what happens when one protocol can make the same capital do the jobs of BOTH while also powering spot trading and leverage? @every_thing
