Ridgway cited that they chose to kill the baby after deciding that he and his wife didn't want to be inconvenienced with a child with Down syndrome. "Things have been pretty dark for a while for us, and we felt this was gonna be a nice little ray of sunshine, and it's not." Horrific and selfish. This is so sad and awful. We CAN'T stand silently by. Research shows 99% of people with Down syndrome are happy with their lives, and their families love them. Families deserve truthful information & support. People with Down syndrome deserve to live. They should never be targets for discrimination, inside the womb or out. Period.
