But not in the way where it’s like I’m acting like I’m authorized or I’m a priority or something. Winning isn’t all that and neither is losing. It’s just something that happens. It’s the outcome. What really matters is the effort you put in and the journey you go through. I would say: Take a break if you’ve been stuck in something for too long. That’s actually why I stepped away for a while. I literally retired, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Through that retirement, I realized that I’m a bit of a creative person. I have ideas, my own sense of fashion, and I can be a little stubborn about it. So I came back to share all of my art. I love choreography and moving to music. I love to dance, and I do it on my own terms, no one tells me what to do. Even now, I still take breaks. And I think that’s the best way to do it. — Alysa Liu.

I keep seeing people talk about Brock Purdy possibly making $60M a year on his contract extension. I highly doubt he’ll ask for anything close to that… It’s time to bring out this interview again that he did a few months ago where he said he’s not chasing money: “What I think I’m called to do in life is to lay down my life for others. Whether that’s time, or raising money to help out with foundations, it’s a huge part of what I do. Using my platform, not for myself, but for my communities. Not trying to chase status, fame, money, and all that kind of stuff. It’s loving on my wife and my family that I have, and not missing out on that. I’m 24 years old and I’m trying to enjoy it.”
