This is an open world murder mystery game in which Excalibur is the murder weapon. Wishlist here if you're interested!

Holy fucking shit, this is amazing!

It's a lot of work, which I think a lot of gamedevs and players could probably intuit, but it's also just *really well done,* which is even more impressive to me. There's nothing super exotic going on here, but the way you put it together is fantastic. The wavy mask is inspired!

wow, the tech is cool but the video itself is even more impressive to me! What did you use to make it? I would love to make similar tutorials one day, but I need to learn! ✨

It's all edited with Premiere Pro! It has built-in animation curves I used for all the juicy movement, though I had a hard time juggling with everything so it might not be the best tool for it. The art was done with Photoshop and I recorded footage with OBS of course 👍

This is mindblowing, well done! 🦑

One of my favorite things to do in compositing for movies/TV was to set up 3D card environments in NukeX. Always so satisfying to see your 2D images become a paralaxing world!

how does the parallax scrolling tiling work? I had trouble getting it to loop seamlessly

You mean in the code? The game gets the background's width and draw it multiple times using that width as intervals 👍 If you meant in the asset, make the canvas larger, copy the left extremity and stick it to the right to tweak and make them match Sorry not sure what you mean!
