I am probably one of the most open minded people there is.. Although some of Elon’s thoughts and ideas seem straight out of the Globalist playbook, this clip may shed some light. Elon Musk views things through the lens of science fiction… Star Trek.. In star Trek, money is basically obsolete for everyday life. They live in a proto-post-scarcity economy where replicators, unlimited clean energy, and advanced automation mean basic needs (and most luxuries) are freely available. In Star Trek, People work for personal fulfillment, exploration, science, or to help others — not because they need to earn a living. Picard's famous line in Star Trek: "The economics of the future are somewhat different. You see, money doesn't exist in the 24th century... The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity." Maybe that’s giving too much credit to him.. I’m choosing to remain optimistic that Elon views the world this way and it’s just that.. instead of a dystopian future where we are basically slaves. And remember.. These are his thoughts.. it doesn’t mean these things will come to fruition.

The depth of Elon Musk’s messianic delusions is not fully appreciated. He is a transhumanist eugenicist who thinks humans are a “biological bootloader” for AI. He believes that purging humanity of “inferior races” is crucial to his mission of creating a superintelligence. Musk tells accelerationist fraud Peter Diamandis that humanity will be like an “Iain Banks Culture sort of future.” The Culture is a science fiction series by socialist author Iain M. Banks in which humanity is a kind of pet for giant AIs that control huge spaceships. Humans can change their bodies into almost anything—switch gender, add wings, etc.—and take all the drugs they want. This is the future Musk imagines: Superintelligent AIs that allow a few elites to hang around enjoying “abundance.” The rest of us are nowhere to be found in his vision. His only response to the poors is to just throw money at us—because he says it’s worth nothing anyway. In reality, he will use his unlimited money and power to try to cull the population. He’s already started. MUSK: And I do think we’ll have universal income. We’ll basically just issue money to people and the, really, just because the output of goods and services will so far exceed the money supply. But that, that effectively you have deflation. Because just deflation is just the ratio of the output of goods and services to the money supply. So that’s, so if the rate of growth of goods and services or exceeds the rate of growth of the money supply, which I predict will happen, then you will have deflation. DIAMANDIS: Yes. And a lot of people spinning up new companies, competing against each other, driving the price down and increasing the variability and deflation. Faster and faster. MUSK: Yeah, it’s basically, yeah, AI and robots are going to make so much stuff and provide to many services that they will actually run out of things to do for the humans. They’ll just run out of things to do for the humans. And then they, well, you know, there’s only so much that humans can even express that they want. So you go back to my example of like, if you go a million times greater than the host economy, you’ve long since saturated all human desire. You know, maybe like, if you go a thousand times more than our current economy, thousand times, you probably have already saturated saturated human, anything people can think of that they want. DIAMANDIS: So do you think the value of money is going to significantly decrease? Will it, will we go post capitalist? MUSK: Yeah, I think money will stop being relevant at some point in the future. So just as you’re becoming-- It’s probably something like an Iain Banks Culture sort of future. And I think the AI down the road will really not use human currency. It will just care about power and mass, what is in tonnage? DIAMANDIS: It’s kind of ironic then, right? Just as you’re becoming a multi-trillionaire or money starts to have less value. After 400 years of racial oppression, that vision must have sounded like science fiction – as fantastical as Star Trek or Star Wars today. But he helped speak aspects of that world into existence. That’s not the work of someone stuck in nostalgia. That’s the work of radical AFRO-FUTURISM. We need more positive futurists — of all shades and kinds — taking the stage today. Elon Musk predicts money won’t be of any value in the future; instead, energy will become the true currency. “Long-term, I think money disappears as a concept—honestly. In a future where anyone can have anything, you no longer need money as a database for allocating labor. If AI and robotics become powerful enough to satisfy all human needs, money’s relevance declines dramatically. I’m not even sure we’ll still have it. The best imagining of this future that I’ve come across is Iain M. Banks’s Culture series. I highly recommend people read the Culture books. In that far-future setting, they don’t have money either. Everyone can pretty much have whatever they want. There are still some fundamental currencies, but they’re physics-based. Energy is the real, true currency. That’s why I’ve said Bitcoin is ultimately based on energy. You can’t legislate energy into existence. You can’t just pass a law and suddenly have a lot of it. Generating energy—especially harnessing it in a useful way to do useful work—is very difficult. So yeah, I think in the future we probably won’t have money. Energy and power generation will become the de facto currency.”

He’s called UBI “necessary” in a high-AI future, but he’s also said it should be more like a “universal high income” tied to making sure people benefit from AI productivity, not just getting a basic check to survive. I love RLM and there's still merit to some of the stuff they said about the prequels but yeah half their wants for the sequels came true and they were all bad choices. Also they seemed to lack foresight by praising the Star Trek reboot as being what the prequels should have been and to what precedent it was setting for the future of Star Trek. The irony being they would spend the next decade lamenting the path Star Trek took away from slow, thought provoking, dialog heavy conundrums when they praised the reboot for turning Star Trek into a fun but shallow lens flair filled, shaky camera action movie. A reboot that set the first stone of that path towards Discovery and Academy. And when the sequels took a lot of their wants for Star Wars and it was bad, they soft balled it and ignored or glossed over aspects they would have dedicated 20 minutes to for the prequels as "eh just enjoy the ride" which is the kind of thought process they complained about in stuff like Nerd Crew.

It's always was the first movie I ever saw in a theater, by the way. Maybe it had a profound effect on me, I suppose I was six years old and I was like, this is the greatest thing I've ever seen. But when I was young, but my life feels somewhat surreal. I can't believe these things are actually happening. I think the world makes me believe in simulation theory. Like the things I'm doing are so preposterous that. It's hard to believe they're real. I mean, we've got Starship, which is the largest, most powerful flying object ever made. It's always was the first movie I ever saw in a theater, by the way. Maybe it had a profound effect on me, I suppose I was six years old and I was like, this is the greatest thing I've ever seen. But when I was young, but my life feels somewhat surreal. I can't believe these things are actually happening. I think the world makes me believe in simulation theory. Elon Musk: To get a sense of what an AI future looks like, I'd recommend people read the Culture books by Iain M. Banks. They're by far the best at envisioning an AI future.
