Question to conservatives… Elon Musk says there will be a “universal high income” due to AI-driven job displacement and abundance. So, why is this ok but giving people free healthcare or poor people food stamps is considered “communism”? Musk certainly isn’t a communist but you all called Obama one. For the record I do think that AI will lead to a universal high income scenario and that governments and corporations will have to be involved to make this work.

Universal Basic Income (UBI), in its egalitarianism, is a fundamentally left wing and delusional policy proposal for dealing with potential workforce disruptions from AI. While narrow interventions could be appropriate, UBI, at scale, won’t satiate the human, whether pursuing higher or lower things. The dollars will be consumed. The demands for more, for nothing, will grow, and it will balloon many of today’s most acute problems. Furthermore, UBI is spiritless.

People don’t realize that in the near future we will lose more commodities, not gain them. The things we take for granted today will be gone tomorrow. AI is not being built for you and me to have a universal high income or access to a Michelin-star chef, cleaner, guard, worker, or doctor robot, but for the elites to replace you in doomsday bunkers. A major reset of civilization is coming, and your best bet is to keep some basic resources on the side, make spiritual peace, and prepare your soul.
