Woman in in Western Illinois says Can someone please explain to me how families are surviving right now?! Just opened our electric bill for the month: over $400 ($399 just for electric alone!). Mind you, we were gone on vacation for an entire week and turned the thermostat up before we left! And our home is 1200 sq ft. It’s not even about whether we can pay it—it’s the principle of it. How are people doing this? Thinking back to when I was a single mom, a bill like this would have completely ruined me. It’s more than my house payment used to be. Something in our world is seriously broken right now.

”White people crying was the goal” They say it openly. They laugh about it. And the audience applauds. It doesn’t matter what material you build your house from, when a fire, fueled by high winds hits, it’s not being saved. This is from a “small” recent fire in Gatlinburg area that got close to a house I owned. Took out quite a few homes. The wind just carries the sparks everywhere and often the fires start at the roof level (not the ground or side of the house). Once the roof area is hit, it’s all over. The fire will burn the house from the inside out. And it doesn’t matter if it’s a metal roof…think of all the wood components that metal roof attaches to and the eaves, soffits, etc. Just one spark can start a fire. When the wind is blowing at 60-80 mph gusts, you’re getting millions of sparks. The fires also get into the tree tops (especially of pine) and then balls of fire can also start raining down in clumps onto houses below as well. ICF, poured walls, concrete block….all irrelevant when you have a massive fire coming your way.

Some of the best flying you’ll ever do. Hands down! Air refueling. The US military has a unique talent that no other nation can claim. We can go anywhere at anytime, in massive numbers. Think about that. No other country can do what we do! That’s a tremendous “force multiplier.” (That is, a factor or tool that dramatically increases the effectiveness, output, or impact of a team). It’s finger-touch flying for the receiving pilot. It’s a workout! In bigger airplanes, getting the gas you need requires 30 minutes plus “hanging on the boom.” No autopilot. Most often, you absolutely have to have the gas or divert to another location for gas. When you’re hauling the SEALs or DELTA into harms way, that is simply NOT an option. Plus, NOBODY wants to make that “walk of shame” back in the hallways of the squadron.🤣 My personal record is 46 minutes on the boom in moderate turbulence. I felt like I’d survived a round with Mike Tyson.🤣

Some people are upset that I said “Raising kanan” in the final season Is just as great as the others Is imo better than “the wire” It’s my opinion we don’t have to agree But romanticism plagues people The wire was great but it did have flaws 50 would never mess a scene up On raising kanan With bad song placement that does not even match the setting of the scene.. And also the actors in the car are terrible And they don’t even have lines lol Yes it was amazing and it’s legendary But I will not allow your romanticism with the past make you believe that the show from your childhood was flawless It was not!! It’s okay for new albums to be better than Illmatic It’s okay for new crime series to be better the wire It’s okay for a new teacher to take it to a level Malcolm X never got too It’s okay!

The discourse around the Eze penalty last night is fascinating. If nothing else it provides Arteta with an excuse as to how his team has been hard done by and robbed. He loves excuses. It’s a fascinating situation because I actually think the right outcome was reached albeit through the wrong process. Once given on the field under the current rules it shouldn't have been overturned. For that Arsenal can feel aggrieved. Don't forget Arsenal were the beneficiaries of an incredibly soft penalty in Leverkusen. It wasn’t overturned. I find the attached video interesting because it clearly shows how minimal the contact is. The defender doesn’t pin Ezes foot to the ground. Doesn’t smash into it. It brushes down the side of it. It’s where the still pictures of it were wildly misleading. Are we really saying that contact such as that is worthy of a penalty? What’s clear in the video is that Eze has absolutely made the most of the slight contact. I love the straight left leg. A very natural position. It’s a brilliant dive and normally it would have been rewarded. By saying that is a stone wall penalty all we are doing is encouraging such theatrics and cheating. Whenever you hear the words “that was clever” by a commentator they are intimating the player has cheated/made the most of it. We complain about refs all the time but what chance do they have when players are doing stuff like this. Until players are punished properly there is no disincentive for players to keep doing this stuff. I also find it fascinating when you have a foot brushed like this. When you compare it to all the holding/pushing/grappling at other times. Sometimes a contact sport and others not. Is this really what football has become?
