Absolutely bizarre behavior from Michelle Smith-McDonald the San José State University Senior Director of Communication 🚨🚨🚨 After she films us supporting Brooke Slusser on Oct 12th, she won't tell me what she does at the university. She says "it's none of your business." On Oct 31, I ask again... after the SJSU v Air Force game and she still won't answer me. Then on Saturday she tells me it's "harassing" to film a spectator even though she filmed me first. Insane. Long Post ! The internet is celebrating #TMC nomination of Menaka Guruswamy to the #RajyaSabha, with many highlighting that she comes from the LGBTQ+ community. Representation matters - there is no doubt about that. But for many of us, including myself , what truly stands out is something even bigger: her extraordinary merit and body of work. Before I even knew about her personal identity, (which is none of my business) I knew her as one of the sharpest legal minds in the country. A Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, she is known for her clarity of argument, intellectual rigour, and fierce commitment to constitutional values. She can standup in a courtroom and never use her gender or sexuality to make an argument. She can shut down people without saying “excuse me, I am a woman and ladies first” Look at the journey - Alumna of National Law School of India University, University of Oxford, and Harvard Law School. A Rhodes Scholarship recipient. B. R. Ambedkar Research Scholar and Lecturer at Columbia University. She has taught at Yale University, the University of Toronto, and New York University. In 2019, she and Arundhati Katju were named among Time’s 100 most influential people in the world. That is not just representation. That is excellence. Yes, she has been an important voice in advancing LGBTQ+ rights. But what makes her remarkable is that she argues with logic, scholarship, and constitutional depth…not identity. Her work speaks first. And perhaps that’s the real message here: people from the LGBTQ+ community are not seeking validation through labels. They are living with dignity, building careers, shaping institutions, and through their work making it easier for society to shed prejudice. So when Menaka Guruswamy enters the Rajya Sabha, it shouldn’t be reduced to a single aspect of who she is. She will walk in there with SEVERAL DEGREES THAT SHE WILL NEVER OR NEVER HAVE TO HIDE. Alicia Andrews, the 22-year-old woman accused of helping to plan Foolio’s murder in 2024, has been found guilty of manslaughter in the rapper’s death. On Friday (Oct. 31), Andrews was convicted by a jury and also found not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. Andrews faces life in prison without the possibility of parole for the manslaughter conviction. She took the stand on Thursday (Oct. 30) to testify that she had no idea the plan to kill Foolio in Tampa, Fla. was taking place. She also claimed she was scared of her boyfriend, Isaiah Chance, who prosecutors say helped put together the deadly ambush on the rapper. Chance put his hands on Andrews a few times, according to her. “He started to be a little more controlling,” Andrews said of Chance after they began dating in 2021. “As I got older, and I would wanna go out, he didn’t like that… He would tell me what to post, what not to post or if he didn’t want me to take something down. Don’t wear this, don’t wear that.” She said she followed Chance’s orders. “I didn’t know no better at the time.” At the time of the murder, Andrews claimed she stayed in the vehicle after Chance and the rest of the people she was with she thought were exiting the car to go get food. Instead the men went to kill Foolio. She insisted she had no idea was what going on. “I mean, I heard a lot of shots so I didn’t know what went on,” Andrews said. “Shooting in the air, somebody got shot at, I didn’t know. She also claimed she didn’t know someone died. Andrews was the first person on trial for Foolio’s murder. She was one of five people charged in his death. He was shot and killed outside a Tampa Holiday Inn on June 23, 2024.

I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. Gia Giudice gave us a lot of insight into herself and her sisters, and how they’ve all navigated life on reality TV and the fame that comes with it. Before I get into what Gia said about each of her sisters, I have to note something I found interesting… Gia shared that she felt she had to step up on RHONJ and be there for her mom while filming, since her mom was left on her own after her dad, Joe Giudice went to prison. Over the years, many of you have joined me in celebrating this truly special girl turned young woman, Maddie. I am heartbroken to share with you that Maddie has passed away at the age of 21. I’m sharing a glimpse into my friendship with Maddie because I want people to know how truly special she was. I met Maddie when Kevin and I were filming Kevin Can Wait. Make-A-Wish America reached out and told us that a young girl’s wish was to meet us. I was so touched. This beautiful little girl was a fan of King of Queens? And we of course said yes. Maddie and her family came to visit us on set, and what started as a meet-and-greet turned into a real, almost decade-long, lasting friendship. Maddie would text me almost every day. She sent me funny videos, shared stories about her life, and came out to LA with her family, where I attempted to get her to expand her palate (though she always circled back to her favorite, a Caesar salad). We shared many beautiful moments that have kept me positive in moments of difficulty and darkness, and she was about to come to LA again, where I planned on celebrating her for her birthday and her recent accomplishments. Maddie had Spinal Muscular Atrophy type two (SMA), but she never let it define her. She was excited to begin advocacy work and had recently told me she was officially going to start speaking publicly about her experiences, not even for herself, but to help others. She had big dreams, and I was so proud watching her grow into the leader I always knew she was. Maddie loved her family and friends fiercely. For her young age, she would prefer to be with friends and family, playing games and our favorite, Phase 10. She loved all things girly: nails, hair, makeup, the Timberwolves. And she hated snow (though she lived in Minnesota), and more importantly, she loved helping people. She wrote me love notes daily, and I only hope I had let her know how much joy she brought me. It is me who hopes that she knew how much I loved her. I received this text from her friend Emma, whom I knew from the many funny videos Maddie sent me of the two of them. I’ve included it below. After flying to Minnesota to say goodbye (although she had already passed while I was in the air), I wanted her to know what she meant to me. That she was thinking of me in this way and wanted me to have the things she mentioned, that she cared so much, is also truly touching and heartbreaking. Maddie had so much life ahead of her. Her disease didn’t stop her spirit or dim her light. She was hopeful, brilliant, and genuinely excited for her future. I will miss her texts, her videos, and hearing from her every day. They always made me smile. I will miss her humor and the light she brought into this world every single day. Maddie had just turned 21. Her little body just couldn’t contain the big, beautiful life she was living. She was a force, taken too soon. She was very young back then, only 18/19 years old, and she has become a very matured actress now. Firstly, she has a huge passion for acting and dramas. That's what really touches me. It's a completely new kind of role, that is so different from her past "sweet girl" roles. She even actively participated in the styling of her character. She was deeply involved in the designing of her character. When she called me on the phone at 3 AM, just to discuss with me about the outfit that she was wearing for the next day, I was very surprised! I realised that this is why some people succeed in life. She often messaged me, even at 3 AM, just to discuss with me her thoughts about the script or her character's outfit. Even as the Director, I felt ashamed. I asked her, "You're still not asleep?" With her family background, since she also grew up with her grandma, she was very good at interacting with the elderlies. Her love for her family in real life has been injected into her character. I think that was what she has added to the character, because of how she is as a person in real life. For her evolution from a "sweet girl" to a "mature woman", she has done so much homework to compensate for what she hasn't experienced in real life. She has done so much research just to allow her character to appear natural. That's all the hard work and homework that the actor has to do."
