I think the show premised is a bit strange tonally wise Poochini's previous owner died, and I feel that's too sad considering the fact that most episodes involve his new family making his life miserable

oh no definitely, its ‘supposed’ to be funny but in the end you just feel bad for the little pooch cause he gets tormented with constantly almost every episode. god bless his poor soul
