Who wins the ACC this season? 🤔 "Let's not overthink it; they don't play the two teams that beat them last year in conference: SMU and Louisville, who are the 2nd and 3rd best teams this year. They don't play either one of them. They do play at Clemson, but they could lose that game and still qualify for the ACC Championship game, no problem." -Brad Powers ✍️ Best Bet: Miami to win the ACC (-150)

The ACC just had an excellent season, with its premier program Clemson not contributing, but apparently they’re “secret garbage.” • National Championship appearance • Miami by themselves won as many CFP games as the entire 5-bid SEC. • Winning record vs. the SEC (for the second time in the last three years. Five consecutive wins over the SEC to end last season). • Virginia just won 11 games. • SMU is 20-7 in two years at the Power 4 level. • Georgia Tech had their best season since 2016. • Duke won 9 games for the third time in the last four years. • Louisville won 9+ games for a third consecutive season. • 9-4 Wake Forest just had their best season since 2021 in their first year under Jake Dickert. • FSU, in the midst of a 2-6 year in ACC play, smoked Alabama. Dabo Swinney and Clemson had a bad year for the first time since 2010 and weren’t in the mix at all, and the ACC was still extremely competitive. And the narrative is somehow that they are an “afterthought of a conference.”

Lamar Odom on playing for Pat Riley and how the Heat Culture transformed his body: “I never considered myself a big man until I got to Pat Riley and got stuck at the 4. With the Clippers some games I started at the PG. In Miami he changed my whole game. He made me a dog, a different type of dog. I thought my name was ‘motherf*cker’ the first two weeks of training camp. One of the best coaches I had if not the best… Everything was defense first, rebounding, it was easy for me because I had no body fat coming in but where it got tricky was I weight like 215 with the Clippers but by November with Miami I was like 245-250. From weights. I got a chest that summer! That was probably one of my favorite years with D Miles and Q Rich. We had a lot of genuine fun” (Via Cousins with Vince Carter & Tracy McGrady) 🔥

Incredible homecoming game ruined by refs with a terrible PI call on what should have been the last play of the game. If anything, it was OFFENSIVE PI! #Clemson will get a meaningless apology from ACC for the blunder, but Tigers will still be 3-5 instead of 4-4. This is why PI should be reviewable last 2 minutes! First home loss to Duke since 1980. #ALLIN POST-GAME INTERVIEWS, HIGHLIGHTS, NOTES & MORE HERE:

Zendaya reveals the "three way kiss scene" in Challengers was actually more like a 9-way kiss with cameras and crew around Zendaya: "I got asked a lot about like the three way kiss scene, and I was like, really, it's like a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 way kiss, because there's like so many people on the other side. You guys just see the 3 of us." Zendaya: "There's so many things that kind of are at play... It's just so much more than what people see." Nicole Kidman: "That's our job, to make it look like... otherwise everyone would be doing it."

Dwyane Wade said he was ready to retire when he was playing in Cleveland: D-Wade: “Yea I was ready to retire. I needed to get out of there…I got thrown into the sh*t… you can even look at my hair — it was so nasty, the jersey didn’t even fit right…it was definitely one of the most nastiest jerseys…I didn’t even want number 3 in that jersey…I wore number 9” Carmelo: “Cleveland 9 is nasty” D-Wade: “They got me out of there quick than a MFer…shoutout Cleveland for sending me back to Miami…” (via 7PM in Brooklyn)

I think that Miami should be the preseason favorite to win the Natty: -3-headed monster in Mensah, Fletcher, Toney is as good as any in CFB -Added Mensah's top WR from Duke Cooper Barkate -Lose 4 starters on the O-line but it's still 5-star, 4-star galore -Bain and Mesidor turned pro but they still have leading tackler Mohamed Toure -DT Justin Scott should be even better -Added DE Damon Wilson (9 sacks at Mizzou) -MOST IMPORTANTLY they retained BOTH coordinators -Odds on favorite to win the ACC and for good reason, best roster by far -They basically have an auto bid to the CFP which how many teams can you actually say that about? -Not to mention they're good enough to win it However they are NOT my pick to win it all:

On my way for Week 9. Day 3. Reflecting on what I saw and heard yesterday. And my opinions (of course). We were NOT told the truth. These were NOT credible witnesses. There MUST now be consideration for further action to be taken. Sadly: it seems that @NHSNotts staff are choosing to behave as shamefully as Nottinghamshire Police Leicestershire Police Crown Prosecution Service Let’s hope I’m proven wrong (sincerely doubt I will be). #nottinghaminquiry 💚💛

I need help figuring out Ole Miss this year -Chambliss and Lacy is one of the best backfields in CFB -WR Johntay Cook was a solid add from Cuse -O-line loses two starters but is in good shape -D-line is stacked with Perkins, Franklin and Echoles back -LBs Luke Ferrelli (Cal) and Keaton Thomas (Baylor) were fantastic pickups -Secondary is also real strong -So elite QB, pretty loaded defense and a coach with giant stones -My problem is their schedule: open vs Louisville, LSU, at Florida, at Texas, Georgia, at Oklahoma -I just think that has 9-3 written all over it and at that point the CFP is likely off the table -I think like their team so much more than their draw More:

Antoine Walkers loves the Giannis to Miami trade: “Great move by the Heat. That’s a opportunity of a lifetime to add a guy like Giannis who still got probably 3/4 good years left in his prime at a very high level. I think his body will be taken care of a lot better in Miami. We know how big the Miami Heat organization is on taking care of your body. I think that’ll be great for Giannis… I think with Giannis that automatically puts you in top 5/6 teams in the East and if you’re able to get some guys around him the sky’s the limit on how good you can be.” (Via Martel Llewellyn /

I'm calling my old coach's game. James Franklin recruited me to Penn State and then coached me for four years. It laid the blueprint for my NFL career, and he’s one of the most intense men I’ve ever met. Now, he's rebuilding at Virginia Tech. And on September 12th, I'll be in the booth for his third game with the Hokies. Here's what I know about him that most fans don't: He does not lose back-to-back without a response. When his back is against the wall, he brings a level of intensity you can feel. And he's looking at last season as the biggest loss of his career. No one else calling ACC games this season knows him the way I do. Tune in September 12th on The CW. You're going to want to hear this one. #JamesFranklin #VirginiaTech #PennState #ACC #CollegeFootball

Davion Mitchell explains how TOUGH the Miami Heat’s conditioning test is compared to other teams😳 “Everyone does a conditioning test but we do a different conditioning test. Like people usually do 10 runs on the court 3 times but with Miami you have to do it 5 times….I prepared for it 3 weeks ago…I’m not going to lie it’s one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life just because you gotta do it in 1 minute — you only get 2 minute breaks…when I ran it last year I didn’t even pass…it was tough last year…” (Deuce & Mo)
