This is how Palestinian Christian worshipers were treated in their Holy Land during Easter. Nothing has changed in the past 70 years; the same human rights violations, the same racism, the same violence. Yet you won’t hear any of the global powers cry for minorities like they do when it comes to other Middle Eastern countries, you won’t hear those who CLAIM to be Christian Leaders say anything about it. We stand by our fellow Palestinian Christians and their right to live and worship peacefully in the Holy Land.

This is how Israel treats Christians. Palestinian-American Christian Fares Abraham says Palestinian Christians reject violence completely, but argues there’s a double standard in how violence is treated. He claims some U.S. Christian Zionist leaders know what’s happening on the ground and still support policies that harm historic Christian communities. “As a Christian Palestinian-American, I condemn any attacks on civilians… We reject violence altogether.” He says Christians in the Holy Land “extend their hands in peace” to Jews and Muslims alike. But he argues there’s a stark imbalance in consequences: When a Palestinian commits violence, he says they are “usually shot on the spot.” If they survive, they’re imprisoned. Their family homes are often demolished. Their relatives can face movement restrictions. Israel is now pushing to legalize the death penalty for Palestinians. By contrast: “When a settler commits a crime, there is often an Israeli army presence backing it up. There is a system that grants impunity. And that is the grave injustice.” He says that’s why he speaks out — especially to American Christians. “I don’t think the average evangelical Christian Zionist has any idea.” But he and Tucker add: “Some of their leaders know perfectly well what is happening. When my colleagues visited Israel last August, they saw Christian holy sites there and in Bethlehem. They told me that the birthplace of Jesus felt unrecognizable compared to the well-kept holy sites in Israel. Israel doesn’t care just about protecting the Jewish people; they care about protecting Christians too. Truth should matter to the groypers.
