🇷🇺 According to Russian media and local publications, a “semi-covert” mobilization has already begun in Russia: ▪️ Men are being detained directly on the streets, pulled out of cars, and forced to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. 📍 In several regions, the detention of men on the...

Several reports indicate that the number of people willing to sign contracts with the Russian defense ministry has plummeted. The Kremlin is discussing a new wave of mobilization in the autumn of 2026. ▪️According to data obtained by the Verstka media, the influx of new recruits in Moscow collapsed by a third in the spring of 2026 compared to last year. In April, 1,708 contract soldiers were sent to the front; in May, that number fell to 1,378, and the deficit continues to grow. ▪️Homeless people, mercenaries from Africa, and elderly convicts with severe illnesses who cannot carry 20 kg of gear are being shipped to the front. According to sources, these contract soldiers survive on the positions for no more than a month, and mass desertion is rampant among the survivors, with hundreds of men fleeing frontline villages every week. ▪️Russian authorities see forced conscription as the only way out of the manpower crisis. Eight sources close to the Presidential Administration, the FSB, and military enlistment offices confirmed that the Kremlin is discussing a new wave of mobilization for October 2026, immediately following the September elections. While some officials fear economic collapse and protests, military personnel on the ground are certain: "The fools willing to die for money have run out. From here on, it’s either mobilization or a backroom deal where they lose face and fail the goals of the "special military operation." 📹:Serdobsk, Penza Oblast, Russia

🇷🇺Chronicles of a defeated Russian army: The Russian military Telegram channel War Zone reports that large-scale violations, corruption, and falsification of reports have been uncovered in the Russian military group “Vostok” — according to sources close to military circles. According to their information, during an inspection of units of the “Vostok” group on May 19, 2026, the commission revealed facts of falsification of combat operation results and submission of false reports. A particularly dire situation was recorded in the 29th Combined Arms Army, commanded by Lieutenant General Alexei Zhuravlyov. The main accusations include: ▪️ Colonel General Andrei Ivanaev systematically provided inaccurate information to the General Staff regarding the capture of settlements, destruction of Ukrainian positions, and the number of downed drones. ▪️ Cases were recorded where the temporary entry of small groups into populated areas was presented in official reports as full control, despite the fact that the soldiers were killed shortly afterwards. ▪️ In some units, the level of disciplinary violations, including alcohol and drug use, marauding, and arbitrary abandonment of positions, reaches up to 60%. ▪️ There are reports that a significant part of the bodies of dead servicemen are not evacuated and are recorded as missing in action, which serves to avoid paying compensation. ▪️ The commission also uncovered facts of misappropriation and illegal resale of humanitarian aid, equipment, and drones. ▪️ According to the inspection materials, individual units of the group were assessed as insufficiently prepared to fulfill the tasks set by the General Staff. According to the source, these facts represent a serious problem and a reputational blow for the Russian army. This detailed exposure of systemic corruption, falsified reports, and poor discipline in one of the key Russian military groups once again confirms the deep rot within the Russian armed forces. The fact that such problems are being openly discussed even in pro-Russian military channels shows how widespread and unsustainable the situation has become. This internal decay significantly undermines Russia’s combat effectiveness and long-term prospects in the war.
