President Trump is being duped on polling numbers about the popularity of War with Iran and does not realize it. CNN released a clearly fake or cherry picked poll saying that almost all of MAGA supports the War. This could not be further from the truth. If you think it is, go ask a few MAGA people in your actual life their thoughts on the War. A lot of them are strongly against it. But both the mainstream media and the neocons around President Trump want him to believe these numbers. The left leaning mainstream media want him to believe these numbers because the longer this war goes on, the better it works out for Democrats in upcoming elections. The right leaning mainstream media want him to believe it because their biggest donors are very pro war in Iran. The neocons surrounding him want him to believe it because then they can have the war in the Middle East they have always pushed for. I do not think President Trump is playing 4D chess with this war. I do not think he is super pro war. I do not think he cares about the Middle East that much. I just think he is being manipulated by the people around him and he does not realize it. The best thing for President Trump and the country as a whole is that he recognizes how unpopular this disaster is, corrects course by getting the United States out of involvement, and fires anyone who has lied to him about polling around him. Now to be clear, I do think there are many in MAGA who are suddenly pro this war, but that is just the people who would believe the sky is green and grass is blue if President Trump told them to. The confusion about whether former Eagles OC, Kevin Patullo, was fired or not isn't that confusing. They never used the word fired. In short, they care about him, value what he has done for the organization, and are allowing him to weigh his options and decide if he wants to come back in a different role. Philadelphia, & their entire front office, are a class org. They value people, respect them, and treat them right. They also know what he has meant to their 2 Super Bowls runs, despite not working out at OC. The players who praised him all season and after the wild-card loss do so with sincerity. It is not lip service or professionalism. They genuinely respect him. Almost every player was asked about him after their loss, nobody wavered in their praise for him. Nick has explained what they are doing, and the players have expressed their role in the season's struggles. Below is from right after the game.

🚨😡 Shocking & Infuriating: I just saw a video from Zhangjiajie, China, a couple decided to “train” their 2-year-old son by forcing him to illegally cross a busy road alone. They stood on the other side, waving and urging him to come over. The terrified toddler stumbled and fell, but the mother kept shouting for him to get up and keep going. Seconds later, a car slammed into him, sending the little boy flying through the air. This is not “training.” This is reckless endangerment. This is child endangerment of the worst kind. How any parent could treat their own toddler like a disposable experiment is beyond comprehension. These parents failed the most basic duty of parenthood — to protect their child. For those who knew Seth, he was far more than a pilot or an officer in uniform. He was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend whose presence filled the lives of the people around him with love and strength. Seth grew up dreaming of becoming a pilot. That dream eventually became a life of service, one he carried with pride every time he put on his uniform. Those close to him say he loved what he did and felt honored to serve others through his work in the Air Force. But the people who knew him best remember something even greater than his career. They remember a man who was loving, generous, and kind-hearted. A man who always looked for ways to help others. Someone who could fix almost anything, who loved the outdoors, and who never hesitated to put the needs of others before his own. Above all, Seth was a devoted family man. His wife shared the heartbreak their family is now facing, describing the unimaginable pain of losing the person she loved most. In her words, Seth was not only an exceptional Airman, but the most incredible husband, father, son, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. One of the most compelling moments in Roger Rabbit, which I never hear singled out for attention, is when Eddie briefly has to fight the weasels in the bar. It's the only time when any human is in imminent danger of actually being killed by a Toon, which makes them feel "real" in a way that all subsequent RR "inspired" films have never done - by making them a legitimate threat to human beings & not just a silly sideshow. Yeah, Eddie fights Doom at the end, but he's like a Supervillain at that point - here the weasels are just using things like bladed weapons, & Eddie is smashing bottles in their faces - it's played straight, it's the grittiest thing in the movie. If anyone tries to make another live action / animation hybrid film that aspires to the level of immersive fantasy this one did, they should exploit that angle because the contrast between unreal cartoon characters & real world violence is potent.

Yeah, Eddie fights Doom at the end, but he's like a Supervillain at that point - here the weasels are just using things like bladed weapons, & Eddie is smashing bottles in their faces - it's played straight, it's the grittiest thing in the movie. If anyone tries to make another live action / animation hybrid film that aspires to the level of immersive fantasy this one did, they should exploit that angle because the contrast between unreal cartoon characters & real world violence is potent.

One of the many myths about hedgehogs which I find particulary annoying is "hedgehogs get their name from living under hedges and grunting like a hog". This is not only utter nonsense, it's very dangerous misinformation which has caused the death of so many poor sick hedgehogs, who could otherwise have been saved. Yet I've seen this utter rubbish published on websites of organisations you'd think you could trust to get their facts right. Especially when it comes to such a precious endangered animal. Hedgehogs don't grunt. They don't snort. They don't make any sound at all. Just like us, their breathing is completely silent if they are healthy. Hedgehogs hunt for food. They certainly don't announce their presence to their prey by grunting and snorting as they approach. They are silent, and they hunt via scent and sound. They listen intently, all the time. Their hearing is so incredibly acute they can hear the scurry of insects legs under an inch of soil. Hedgehogs don't come out to hunt in the rain, not because they don't like getting wet, but because the sound of the rain drowns out the sounds of their prey, making hunting imposssible. And hedgehogs are solitary animals. Being solitary means they don't socialise with their own kind, or any other species, so they have no need for a vocabulary, or any verbal communication. The only time you are likely to hear a hedgehog making a sound is the huffing a female hedgehog makes when being courted by a male during mating season. So if you hear a hedgehog snorting or grunting, or making ANY audible breathing sounds, what you are hearing is a very sick hedgehog whose breathing is compromised and who needs urgent treatment from a rescue (never a vet). When a hedgehog is sick, particularly with lungworm, the fluid in the lungs means the air moving in and out makes a bubbling sound. And as the airways become inflamed and swollen, the flow is impeded, making the passage of air noisy. The clip below is of Arthur, recently returned from his hibernation. As you can hear, his breathing has a bubbly, creaky sound. Not too bad, as yet, but bad enough to need treatment - which is probably why he's returned, to book himself into the hospital here.🥰

Paying a married parent to stay home and raise their own child is not a loophole. It is the country finally treating the job as work. There is no more important job than raising a child. For decades Washington paid strangers to do it and treated the parent who stayed home as if they had opted out of a vocation. In reality those parents chose life’s most crucial career. Vice President Vance just helped push a draft rule that recognizes that and rightfully rewards the moms and dads who choose to be there. Good. The Trump administration is writing a rule that would open the existing Child Care and Development Fund to married couples where one parent stays home and the other works at least 35 hours a week. The money is already there: about $12 billion a year, roughly $9,000 per child. No new program. No act of Congress. The first federal subsidy that pays a parent to raise their own kid instead of shipping that child to a facility. Critics will scream that single working parents will lose slots. The honest answer is the program was never designed to replace a mother or a father. It was designed to get adults into paid work. A country that wants more American children should stop punishing the household that keeps one parent in the house. Unmarried couples and stay-at-home singles would not qualify under the draft. That is the point. Marriage is the structure that has the best record of raising stable kids. If the rule survives comment and White House sign-off, it could take effect next year. Raising children is not a hobby. It is how a nation continues. Vance is right to put the parent first. Finish the rule.
