I really don’t understand why Trump is so mad about the Democratic lawmakers’ TV ad stating the legal fact that soldiers don’t have to obey unlawful orders. But he is sending the FBI and Pentagon after sitting US Congress members over this ad! WHY? He’s acting as if they said “disobey Trump’s orders!” But that’s not what they said! The lawmakers said soldiers should disobey UNLAWFUL orders. If the President’s orders are LAWFUL, then he has nothing to object to — or worry about. But for some reason, this week Trump called for the death penalty for these veterans in office. The only rational explanation: this is a very odd way for us to find out that Trump’s orders aren’t lawful. Because as we say in the south, “the hit dog barks.”

It is one (terrible) thing to skim over the moral failure of returning our allies to the reprisals and economic collapse that await them in Afghanistan. It is quite another to pretend that Afghanistan is not dealing with the same conditions now that preceded the single event that turned American life on its head in 2001. I don’t want my kids to live through the abject fear that we all felt on that terrible day, or to watch people they care about go to a war that politicians would forget 3.5 years after it ended.

Just a quick note about BTC and the live buy and sell orders. FOMC Meeting Minutes come out in about 90mins from now, that might slow the momentum to the downside but that really is our only hope of a pause on the bleeding for now. Can't say if a bounce there would be a good buying opportunity, I'll be asleep by the time it comes out. Good luck 🤞

This was never about attacking a religion. It was about political advocacy, about speaking out against injustice, and about a movement built on peace, equality and humanity. If political criticism can be redefined as hate depending on who interprets it, then every protest movement in this country should be paying attention. I will be appealing.
