Here’s the Director General of the IOPC Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) Rachel Watson at the Nottingham Enquiry today, making excuses for their investigations taking TWO YEARS to complete (some of which of course, still haven’t been completed). This is not the only time she was questioned about their timescales and made excuses, she was challenged a number of times. Of course we know that two years is actually quite ‘efficient’ for the IOPC, with some police officers having waited seven to eight years for the investigations into them to be completed. The IOPC is not fit for purpose!

***IMPORTANT please share*** On 5th Feb 2021 Greater Manchester Police dispatched 5 officers for a check on welfare. T/PS 14323 Christopher Egerton was dispatched from Pendleton Station in Salford. He broke into my property. Greater Manchester Police lied and told me T/PS 14323 Christopher Egerton was a PC 17793 James Edgerton. I submitted a complaint (image 1) and GMP still gave me the wrong identity (image 2). The IOPC Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) finally gave me the correct identity as T/PS 14323 Christopher Egerton (image 3). Why would GMP mislead me and why will the IOPC not look into this matter? Dame Vera Baird DBE KC alleges T/PS 14323 Christopher Egerton broke in to my home (at 01.50am in 2021) but never returned to the station. However, half the officers names are redacted from my custody records. Vera Baird would not look in to this issue either (video 1👇🏼) A check on welfare led to 40+ hours in custody where I believe I was drugged and sexually assaulted AFTER a 4-5 hour sobriety period. Crucial footage is missing and corrupted (approximately 4.5hours). I asked Andy Burnham to push the IOPC to investigate fully and they won't. Why??? I should never be put in a position where I have to publicly state the police complaint bodies failures. I have been fighting for the footage for over 41 months and counting.

An interview with Peter Cardwell on Talk yesterday following Jess Phillip’s comments in the House of Commons…. Empty promises, words, more rhetoric and no action! Listen here to what I said. Lots more to say but I only had about 5 minutes… The evidence has existed for YEARS Nobody has ever wanted or wants to hold those guilty of gross misconduct in public office to account. I’ve spent 12 years of my life fighting for this and trying to convince successive governments and public bodies and Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) to act. Without success! Finally realising it would never happen, I took matters into our my own hands and set up a limited company Action for Accountability Ltd with several others (survivors and good brains) to be Directors with me. We’ve engaged barristers and lawyers to gather evidence to take this forward, because I don’t for one single second believe the government or Crown Prosecution Service will ever do this for us! It’s a marathon and not a sprint though, but the work is ongoing. #TheyKnew

A Simple List of Key Allegations Involving South Yorkshire Police Officers. - A 12-year-old White girl was raped in the back of a marked police car by a serving Pakistani police officer - A police officer helped facilitate the kidnapping of a child and her detention in a rape house for 10 weeks - Police officers supplied Class A drugs to grooming gang members. In return for access to victims? Or to help drug their victims? Both? - Child victims of gang rape were violently assaulted in police custody, including being beaten while locked in cells - Police officers ripped up written statements made by children begging for help - Officers blackmailed victims for 'sex', threatening to return them to gang members if they did not comply - Operation Linden (2022) examined 47 current and former officers, finding 8 cases for misconduct, 6 for gross misconduct, but no criminal prosecutions or dismissals - only internal disciplinary actions such as written warnings or management directives. - Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) conducted a five-year investigation reviewing 265 serious allegations. During this time, not one single officer was prosecuted. Zilch!!! The Rotherham scandal is no longer just about the Pakistani Rape Gangs. It is about a police force that enabled abuse, officers who took part in it, and the IOPC that protected them. Yet despite the overwhelming evidence against South Yorkshire Police and Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) , the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, remains silent and is refusing to instruct the National Crime Agency take over the investigation.
