Massive props to President Trump for getting this way, way, overdue abomination to the Supreme Court. That's a lie. It was intended ONLY to apply to those freed slaves. United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898) was wrongly decided and must be overturned.

This is a problem that needs to be addressed. CCP is raising anchor babies in China with American citizenship. This was not the intent of the law.

This was much less of a problem before Democrats expanded the “social safety net” to a package of free benefits available to the unemployed and under-employed that is far more generous than wages earned for most jobs in other countries.

You have to remove half of your brain to follow that logic. A child born anywhere on the planet is a citizen of their parents' country of citizenship, until they are able to apply for citizenship to another country and be approved, OR is adopted by a citizen of another country

The Founding of the Fourteenth Amendment The Dred Scott v Stanford 19 How. 396, 576, case is thought to be the catalyst for the Fourteenth Amendment, because in that case there was an argument claiming that people who were held as slaves were not citizens. To clarify so there would be no question that former slaves were in fact citizens of the United States, the Fourteenth Amendment was created. In Dred Scott v. Sandford, Justice Curtis expressed the opinion that under the Constitution of the United States: "every free person born on the soil of a State, who is a citizen of that State by force of its Constitution or laws, is also a citizen of the United States." The Fourteenth Amendment ensured the newly freed slaves would in fact be citizens with all the protections and duties under the U.S. Constitution. We can understand the original purpose and intent of the Fourteenth Amendment. It was written to protect the citizenship rights of the newly freed slaves.  Slaves were “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” because for all intents and purposes their only home was the state and country where they were born and/or confined. Further, a free person also had the right to leave the United States if they so desired. Citizenship was not a new confinement. I can think of no better way to have the US invaded and taken over. They're saying that in 20 years there will be 1 million Chinese who were born in the US, never lived in the US, but can vote from China. They will be able to swing almost any election.

If scotus allows this then immigration laws are going to have to be iron clad and strictly enforced.
