Activists are once again treating sacred fire as a shield, asserting that it transforms public protest into private sanctuary, off-limits to cameras. It’s fair to respectfully ask not to be filmed. But there is no legal, and arguably no moral, obligation to comply. Some of the activists at the... show more

For the record, we’ve filmed and published footage of Muslims, Christians, Jews, and Hindus engaged in acts of public worship at demonstrations. #Toronto #ProtestMania

Nothing says we’re “stewards of the land” quite like a jacked up 4x4 truck parked in front of a junky campsite in public park.

You do such a good job, with your videographer, to keep your cool under these sorts of confrontations. Really well done!!

Of course, progressive virtue signalling through blatant racism and bigotry. Gotta love it! 🙄

These protests tend to attract the most unintelligent, foul, and often racist individuals. @TorontoCouncil Is there a permit for this sacred fire at the Ontario legislature? Will this be a new tent city on public grounds?

Who the F do these people think they are?

Good for you for standing your ground. I 100% agree with everything you’ve said and I genuinely believe the mass majority of society are extremely uneducated in terms of the rights of not only themselves but of others. At this point - I gotta imagine it almost feels personal and has lit some sort of fire under your ass given the way you (and other independent journalists) have been treated for essentially doing nothing wrong and/or illegal. I also encourage your camera man (respectfully encourage) to start standing his ground and to stop being bullied/pushed back from his space - if in need of more camera men feel free To shoot me a DM. I respect what you do.

“Your family was shipped in”. What a racist lunatic!

Where’s the parking authority? Is that sacred truck parked illegally?
