Could Liberal Party Senator Dave Sharma’s comments on #QandA last night re the Moira Deeming MP v John Pesutto saga have been any more ignorant and tone-deaf? 😑 💬 “𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 [𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧] 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞.” – What about the chilling effect that slurring women as Nazi supporters has on political debate, Dave? 💬 “𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠”. – You know what’s also life altering, Dave? Not very long ago, India was almost entirely dependent on imported semiconductor technology. Today, under PM Modi's leadership, India is rapidly emerging as a global semiconductor hub. In 2021, PM Modi launched the Semicon India programme with a clear vision to make India a trusted destination for semiconductor manufacturing. ➡️ India's first semiconductor plant was approved in 2023. ➡️ More projects followed in 2024. ➡️ By 2025, five additional semiconductor projects had been cleared. In 2026, commercial chip packaging has begun at Sanand. It is proof that India's semiconductor mission is no longer just a vision. It is becoming a reality. With 10 semiconductor projects attracting over investment worth $18 billion (more than ₹1.5 lakh crore), India's progress reflects one thing above all: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚. Had a great time with esteemed dignitaries present at the event. Heartfelt congratulations to Shivani Dani Wakhare and her team for their unwavering commitment to financial literacy, dedicating more than a decade to empowering people with financial knowledge. This event plays an essential role in guiding individuals interested in the budget, investment, and financial planning. In today’s fast-paced economy, lack of awareness often leads people into Ponzi schemes and fraudulent traps so financial literacy is essential for a secure and stable life. Money Bee has been actively spreading financial awareness to safeguard hard-earned money. Hon Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ji presented the Union Budget 2025-26, outlining a roadmap for India's continued economic growth. Under the visionary leadership and guidance of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, India's economy remains one of the fastest-growing in the world. I really love this from Molly Miller, head coach of Grand Canyon Women’s basketball… A psychological breakdown… “𝐈’𝐦 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” Directing attention onto technique by lowering physical and mental activation (intensity). Drawing on Deliberate Practice (Anders Erickson)…highlight a specific area to focus on - affords the player the opportunity to increase awareness of technique and change it if necessary. Affords the coach the opportunity to critique technique (feedback). “𝐎𝐧𝐞, 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫…𝐭𝐰𝐨, 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞” Tech/tac attentional cues (specific, controllable cues). Reinforcement…but also a bit of checking for understanding (whilst keeping rapid pace of instruction)…demands on player activation (alertness and readiness) in order to keep track of instructions “𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. 𝐈𝐟 𝐍𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 “𝐆𝐚𝐩, 𝐠𝐚𝐩, 𝐈 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩” 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚?” Reinforcing the importance of listening during the game - improving the understanding of in-game information for better interactions. Interactions influence actions (cultivating player listening and attention) “𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 - 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞” Goal-setting - human beings always have hierarchical goals. Linking tech/tac/phys (pace) with mental (dialogue). Putting these hierarchically first (perhaps more so than performance) “𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐲” Technical cue (perhaps an external focus - handsy ON ball) “𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 - 𝐈’𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐧𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞, 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞” “𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐣𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐣𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥” “𝐈’𝐦 𝐥𝐨𝐰, 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥 - 𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐩, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞. As a sport psychologist here I’m working with Molly to ensure players are able to process this information deeply and durably into long-term memory. This will help them better learn these actions and interactions…in order to be better at exploiting opportunities and dealing with dangers (anticipation-decision-making). This could include different types of instructions, activity design, the use of motor imagery, utilising video

As the tricolor flag soars proudly across the skies of India, we celebrate a historic, democratic milestone in the journey of a great Nation. Today, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to my friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, what a deserving recognition. Your steadfast leadership, enduring commitment to the progress, unity, and aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians, alongside your unwavering vision for a stronger Bharat has helped shape an era of transformation. From your humble roots in Gujarat, to Governor, and now Prime Minister, you are a true testament of the Indian dream - a symbol of perseverance, courage, and faith in the nation’s destiny. Furthermore, I honor your leadership in advancing the US India relationship. You have outlasted consecutive US Presidents, some with whom you had great relationship and others you have had great grace towards, yet you never wavered in exercising clear diplomacy that upheld the interests of the Indian people coupled with the health of our two countries. Now, as India’s longest serving Prime Minister, you have inspired generations to dream bigger, strive harder, and contribute to the glory of the motherland. India and the Indian people around the world stand tall with pride thanks to you. India’s global standing is attributed to you. And the world is a better place, simply because of you. The Holy scriptures teach us to look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. May faith always keep your heart postured to the divine calling you have governing India and submitted to God’s power at work through you. You remain in my prayers as you continue to serve the people of India. May this next chapter of service, sacrifice, and spirit of nation-building continue to illuminate India’s path toward greatness and further cement India’s geopolitical value. Jai Hind! Vande Mataram! To God be the glory, for the great things He has done, through you! 🇺🇸🇮🇳

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 It is time we ask ourselves some honest questions. Are we preparing our children for the future, or for a world that no longer exists? 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 The traditional “one-size-fits-all” school system is 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝. It was built for a different time and a different kind of economy. Today’s world demands something 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫, something 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞, and 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬. We also need to take a 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬. Many of them 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 or 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 advantage. Still, many parents continue to spend large amounts of money on them, not because it is the best choice, but simply because it is what they have always known. 𝐀 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 Now picture a different approach. One that is 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧, 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥, and tailored to your 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 and 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. What if we focused on day schools that use technology well and that are rooted in the social and economic realities of their communities? The result would be education that feels more personal, more practical, and far more powerful. 𝐀 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭, current or future, this is not just about education policy. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. And your 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲’𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲. Think about this: What if you chose a good day school instead of boarding school? And what if you took the money you would have spent on termly boarding fees and quietly invested it in 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬, or 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐬 every year for 16 years? By the time your child graduates, they could have a 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 stronger than any inheritance. Money they can use to start a business, fund further education, or simply explore life with confidence. They might never need to look for a job. They could be the ones creating jobs. And through this one bold decision, you would give them something even greater: 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. A future built not on old traditions but on 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 and 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐭 This is a moment to reset, to rethink not just how we educate our children, but how we raise them. 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. 𝐈𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐢𝐭. So let this be your reminder to pause, reflect, and act. The future belongs not to those who follow blindly but to those who think ahead, choose wisely, and invest with purpose. The real question is: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦?

Urban Meyer said, "It's so easy to be average." "Did you push yourself to be great today? If you didn't do it, you lost today. We don't have many days to lose." Excellence isn't the goal, it's the standard. It's the daily standard you set. You achieve excellence when your commitment and perseverance become routine. • It's the will to commit and compete. • It's the standard you set. • It's your daily mindset. How to Win Today with Excellence 1. Be Unrelenting in Your Work Ethic - Create a relentless approach to your work and your goals. Put forth maximum effort and focus in everything you do. It's not just what you do, but how you do. By consistently pushing yourself, you'll continue to improve. This unwavering dedication is crucial in setting you apart and leading you towards success. 2. Commit to Greatness and Your Craft - You have to be committed and dedicated to your craft. It takes focus. This commitment to excellence and continuous learning ensures constant growth and expertise in your craft. Excellence is not the destination, it's the journey. 3. Always Learn and Look to Improve - Always be on the lookout for ways to better yourself, whether it's through learning new skills, seeking feedback, or challenging existing practices. This mindset of growth keeps you adaptable and flexible when you face new challenges. 4. Uphold Daily Consistency and Discipline - Establish and adhere to a regular routine that supports your goals. By practicing discipline in your daily habits, you create a foundation for consistent progress and achievement. This consistency is the bedrock of excellence, transforming ambitious goals into reality. 5. Choose Resilience and Grit - Resilience is a choice. Accept that there will be adversity and by embracing this adversity, you have the opportunity to learn and grow stronger. This power of resilience not only helps you overcome immediate obstacles but also builds your character, essential for long-term success and fulfillment. 6. Build the Vision then Prioritize - Build the vision of what you want, how you're going to get there, and then attack. This is important because it focuses you on what matters. It prioritizes what is important to help you manage your energy and attention every day. You wake up each day knowing the vision, where to concentrate, and how to get there.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, spade in hand, began clearing a mound of hardened silt alongside sanitation workers, not from a podium or raised stage, but in the trenches, shoulder to shoulder. The scene was clear: this wasn’t symbolic. It was a real act, and it spoke volumes. He didn’t just talk about change; he exemplified it. He showed us, through action, that '𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.' In his own words from the Red Fort, he asked each of us to “𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 ‘𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞?’ 𝐚𝐧𝐝 ‘𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫?" His question resonates as strongly today:“Has your action safeguarded the interests of the country or not? Has it worked for the welfare of others?” PM Modi’s actions inspired a wave of change, setting off a transformation from dirt-ridden banks to bustling, clean spaces that today attract countless visitors to #Assighat. November 8th reminds us to honor the legacy of Swachhagrahis - those frontline warriors of cleanliness, who stood between us and the COVID pandemic, and continue to work tirelessly each day. Let’s make this a day where our respect for them isn’t only expressed but truly felt. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭:: 1. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 - the ones who keep your streets, public spaces, and homes clean. Learn their names, get to know them as individuals, and remember that our PM himself has shown respect by washing their feet, honoring their invaluable work. 2. 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨. This act will spread a message of respect, inspiring communities to see their contributions with fresh, appreciative eyes. 3. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 - whether in a restaurant or their home, and treat it as you would a family gathering. This simple gesture of kindness reinforces that they are part of the larger family of our nation. 4. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 in your community, with a heartfelt *thank you* message. Allow your neighbors to write their appreciation and recognize their efforts visibly and proudly. These are only a few ideas — but whatever you choose, 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝. These unsung heroes don’t ask for acknowledgment; they don’t demand praise. But it is "our duty" to extend it. Let’s honor their work and recognize the sacrifices they make every day. November 8th is a day to give back the dignity and pride our #Swachhagrahis deserve. Let’s make this a collective movement.

Reflecting on the journey from Lagos to Abuja, then to Yola, Kaduna, back to Abuja, and finally to Lagos, one cannot help but admire Mr. Peter Obi's relentless drive and dedication. True to his work ethic, he maintains a rigorous schedule, often undertaking three to five states engagements daily, with a minimum of two. Our engagements began in Yola, where Mr. Peter Obi was invited to deliver a keynote speech on leadership at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), an institution founded by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. His presentation was both inspiring and insightful, as he compared nations and demonstrated how visionary leaders have transformed their countries from consumption-driven economies to production-oriented ones. He emphasized values like competence, character, compassion, and visionary leadership as the cornerstone of true nation-building. After the keynote, we visited an Almajiri school in Yola, where Mr. Peter Obi personally interacted with the students, taking time to teach and engage with them. He was keen to understand their learning experiences, fostering a genuine connection. As always, his philanthropy shone through as he generously provided gifts to the students, reaffirming his commitment to education and youth development. The next stop was St. Augustine Secondary School, where he donated numerous laptops and other educational materials, reinforcing his belief in equipping young minds with tools for a brighter future. These three impactful engagements in Yola alone underscored his deep-seated passion for education and youth empowerment. From Yola, we journeyed to Kaduna, where Mr. Peter Obi visited the Womanhood Medical and Nursing School, a specialized institution for the education of the girl child. Despite being a predominantly Muslim community and his first visit there, the students were visibly elated to meet him, having heard inspiring stories of his leadership. He donated five million Naira to support the school’s mission. Following this, we proceeded to St. Gerard’s Hospital, even though we couldn't get there because of traffic, Mr. Peter Obi had previously donated ten million Naira three months earlier. On this occasion, he extended another five million Naira to further support their operations. He had also planned to attend the Creative Kaduna Girl Child Program, but due to delays from earlier engagements in Yola, he regrettably arrived late. However, he took the initiative to call the organizers, explain the situation, and offer his heartfelt apologies—a hallmark of humility and accountability. For me, these moments capture the essence of Mr. Peter Obi’s leadership: a blend of tireless service, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to uplifting others. What I’ve described here is just a snapshot of a typical day in the life of Mr. Peter Obi. The engagements are unending, but they consistently reflect his dedication to making a meaningful difference. -DrMo

Earlier today, I had the honour of attending a public lecture delivered by my father, His Highness, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, PhD (London), CON, Emir of Kano, on "Eco Currency and Monetary Integration in West Africa: Implications for Nigeria," at the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS). The lecture was insightful, engaging, and rich with practical lessons on economic governance, institutional development, and the pathway to sustainable growth in Nigeria and across West Africa. His Highness emphasized that visions for our nation must be matched by deliberate actions if they are to become reality. He spoke extensively on the importance of strong public institutions led by principled and competent individuals, noting that true strength in public service lies not in exercising power without restraint, but in understanding and respecting the legal framework of institutions. According to him, the misuse of institutions is not a sign of strength but of weakness. Particularly noteworthy were his remarks on the role of every citizen in nation-building. As he aptly observed, it is our collective responsibility to commend what is good and criticize what is bad. While Nigerians must adapt to unavoidable challenges and necessary sacrifices, we must never become docile in the face of avoidable, preventable, or deliberate decisions that impose unnecessary burdens on the people. As Chairman of the House Committee on Banking Regulations, I was encouraged by his recognition of the importance of preserving the independence of key public institutions. His commendation of the ongoing efforts of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Yemi Cardoso, to stabilize the economy, and his acknowledgement of our Committee's commitment to respecting the Bank's statutory independence while carrying out effective legislative oversight, were particularly gratifying. I thank the Director-General of NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, and his dedicated team for organizing and hosting this important lecture. I also express my profound appreciation to His Highness, for sharing from his immense wealth of knowledge and experience. It was a truly enlightening engagement and a timely reminder that strong institutions, principled leadership, and active citizenship remain indispensable to Nigeria's progress. Attached is a video of my remarks as insisted by the DG. Signed Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Member. Kaduna North Federal Constituency Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations. June 25, 2026.

Ok, I think we need to shift the conversation around why we join policing back to exactly that, the why? 😌 I wanted to join from a very young age.🧍‍♂️ I had an early learning centre police officer outfit that I wore till it faded and used to make my dad walk up and down my road with me writing down number plates in my first ‘note book’. 😂 I learnt the phonetic alphabet at about six or seven and then when I was little older, got addicted to ‘The Bill’. 🚔 I think that must be where I wanted to join response. 🚨 Response is the absolute definition of policing to me. 💯 The emergencies come in and we race out to help and when we get there, no matter what it is 99.9% we’re first on scene. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I know we’re burdened with roles that aren’t ours, we all agree on that, but the core role of ‘blue lighting’ to say a burglary in progress, is truly the essence of why most people join policing. ✅ But that’s not for everyone and maybe we need to embrace that in a different way. 🤔 I think we should all join as constables and complete our training period of two years and then progress into different roles like we used to. I have met countless direct entry Detectives who moved over to response because it’s not what they thought it would be. 😟 Why? 👀 The skills learnt in those two years are invaluable and also ground you in the whole organisation. 👏 I think too we need to return to a focus of scenario based training and move away from a bizarre belief that academia solves policing’s problems. 😏 Scenarios have two distinct benefits: 1) They test you in situations you’ve never been in before and give you an insight into your instincts in those challenging moments. ⚠️ 2) They give the trainer the same insight from a different perspective into your ability to deal with them and your strengths and weaknesses.❗️ They also have a bit of a hidden third benefit. I loved the scenarios I was given during training, it was finally when I knew ‘my why’ was right. I wanted to step in, in moments when most won’t, most are scared or most simply don’t want the bother of tackling a difficult situation. 😅 My favourite incidents at work are major, critical or public order based. They require a helicopter view, calm, control and critical thinking. As a Sergeant they’re what I thrive on. 🔥 New Zealand Police seem to agree with this style of learning and testing and have heavily invested in a state of the art scenario orientated training area, a power move in my opinion. 🇳🇿👏 I’d like to see Hendon or an equivalent morning back to that. ✅ Sure Hydra has its benefits, but proper scenarios like there used to be are invaluable. 🤷🏼‍♂️ But, this all requires investment. 😏 We shall see. 👀 #ThinBlueLine 🚨

For those who foolishly convince themselves that every criticism of Peter Obi is proof of his relevance, they fundamentally misunderstand the issue. Peter Obi is not constantly criticized because he is indispensable to Nigeria's political future; he is criticized because he repeatedly says and does things that attract legitimate criticism. Politics is not a sanctuary from scrutiny. Anyone seeking to lead over 200 million people must be prepared to face tough questions, intense examination, and public accountability. No politician deserves endless applause, and no presidential aspirant should be placed on a pedestal beyond criticism. One of the primary reasons Peter Obi continues to attract criticism is his reckless relationship with facts. Time and again, he makes claims that collapse under the weight of verification. His recent story about spending days at the University of Southern California with a faculty supposedly dominated by ex-convicts including a dean who allegedly spent 28 years in prison and a registrar who also served a lengthy jail term was exposed as false amongst several others. When a man seeking the highest office in the country repeatedly circulates questionable stories and unverified claims, criticism is not persecution; it is a necessary response. Beyond that, Peter Obi has perfected the art of complaining without convincing solutions. He is quick to identify problems, quick to blame others and quick to paint gloomy pictures, yet consistently struggles to present comprehensive, practical and realistic alternatives. Anybody can diagnose problems; leadership is measured by the ability to solve them. Endless lamentation is not a development agenda. What is even more troubling is the obsession with negativity that defines much of his political messaging. No matter the progress recorded, no matter the achievements delivered, no matter the improvements made, everything must be dismissed, ridiculed, or deliberately ignored. Every success becomes a failure in his narrative. Every effort becomes worthless. Every development must be blackened to sustain a predetermined political storyline. Peter Obi's politics often gives the impression of a man who believes that because he failed, everyone else must fail as well. Rather than inspiring hope, encouraging confidence, or presenting superior alternatives, he appears more invested in forecasting doom, exaggerating setbacks, and undermining achievements. His political capital is built less on solutions and more on pessimism. Equally disturbing is the conduct of many of his supporters, whose devotion frequently resembles fanaticism rather than rational political engagement. A significant number seem incapable of separating facts from emotions or objective analysis from blind loyalty. Any criticism, no matter how valid, is automatically branded an attack. Any inconvenient fact is rejected. Any opposing viewpoint is demonized. For many of them, political loyalty has replaced critical thinking. The reality is straightforward: Peter Obi is criticized because his statements, conduct, inconsistencies and political approach invite criticism. He is not a victim of scrutiny; he is a beneficiary of the same democratic accountability that every public figure faces. If Peter Obi wants to lead Nigeria, he must learn to defend his claims with facts, answer difficult questions without excuses, and subject himself to the same standards he demands of others. Leadership is not about perpetual complaints, endless blame or cultivating a personality cult. It is about competence, credibility, responsibility and results. No politician is above accountability, and Peter Obi deserves no special exemption from it. #hallelujah
