N.V. Subhash, the eldest grandson of former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, recalls how PM Narendra Modi restored his grandfather's legacy in India's National Memory. He mentions, "My first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 changed how I viewed his commitment to honouring my grandfather's legacy. When I thanked him for speaking about Narasimha Rao ji during the Telangana campaign, he told me, 'Subhash ji, do not worry. I will continue to speak about Narasimha Rao ji across the country.' He kept that promise." "Despite leading India through historic economic reforms and strengthening the country's foreign policy, my grandfather's contribution remained largely ignored for years. But Prime Minister Modi consistently acknowledged his role. When I requested a memorial for Narasimha Rao ji in Delhi, the process began soon after.” “Later, when I thanked Prime Minister Modi, he told me something I will never forget. He said, 'The importance I give to Narasimha Rao ji is important for the nation, not only for your family.' That reflected his larger vision." "Over the years, he continued to honour my grandfather through speeches, letters, Parliament references and national platforms. At the inauguration of the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, he called me, asked about Telangana and reminded me to visit my grandfather's gallery. It was a deeply personal gesture." "The most emotional moment for our family came on 9 February 2024, when Narasimha Rao ji was conferred the Bharat Ratna. For us, it was not merely an award, it was the restoration of historical justice. Prime Minister Modi had no political compulsion to honour a former Congress Prime Minister, yet he chose to recognize his contribution because, for him, national service rises above party lines." "My interactions with Prime Minister Modi have convinced me that he values contribution over political affiliation. By restoring my grandfather's rightful place in national memory, he sent a clear message, national interest comes before party interest. I have always said his guiding principle is simple: nation first, party next, family last.”

#MYMODISTORY PM Narendra Modi ji has always inspired people to look beyond themselves and work for a larger cause. His conversations often plant seeds of ideas that grow into something impactful and lasting. When I won my first Grammy Award in 2015, one year after he became the Prime Minister, I wished to meet him. Soon after, I received a call from his office and my wish came true. I expected the meeting to last only a few minutes with some photographs. To my surprise, it became an hour-long discussion. During our conversation, we discovered our shared passion for protecting the environment and conserving every species. PM Modi ji spoke about his upcoming visit to COP21, the Paris Climate Change Conference. He shared his thoughts about the issues he would raise there, including the International Solar Alliance. As we exchanged ideas, we thought of creating an album that would present India’s perspective on climate change. The vision was to involve musicians from across the world and make it diverse and inclusive. This inspired me to create Shanti Samsara, an album featuring 500 musicians from 40 countries. Narendra Modi ji encouraged the project and gave it a global stage. He launched the album at COP21 in Paris by gifting it to the then President of France François Hollande and the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon. For me, it was more than music. It was about carrying forward a vision that the Prime Minister had sparked, using art as a voice for the planet. Modi Story

When Modi Ji said “Shabash Bandi”… here is #MyModiStory During my tenure as BJP Telangana State President, we held a massive public meeting at Parade Ground with Modi Ji as the Chief Guest. Looking at the crowd and the energy, Modi ji said to me: “Shabash Bandi.” His smile that day is something I even cherish to this day. Later, when we secured victories in GHMC elections, Dubbaka, and Huzurabad by-elections, he kept applauding our achievements saying: “Shabash Bandi.” It takes a big heart to laud our small achievements and encourage karyakartas like me. People often talk about Hindi imposition. But during the BJP National Executive meeting, when Modi Ji asked me to speak about my Praja Sangrama Yatra, I began in Hindi. He immediately said: “Speak in Telugu.” In front of the top leaders of BJP, I spoke proudly in my mother tongue. When everyone applauded, Modi Ji encouraged others to undertake their own Praja Sangrama Yatra. There may be many Prime Ministers in India, but Modi Ji is unique. He notices every karyakarta, asks about their well-being, and makes them feel seen. That is his true strength. On this day, I offer not just wishes but heartfelt gratitude. For people like me, Modi Ji is more than a leader - he is an inspiration that gives us courage to dream and strength to fight for our people. Happy Birthday, Modi Ji. May Maa Bharati keep you strong, healthy, and victorious always. #HappyBdayPMModi

From walking away from an elite authority to challenging the dominant political thinking of his time, Netaji represented a strain of nationalism that made the establishment uneasy. His clashes with Mahatma Gandhi, his democratic mandate within the Congress, and his eventual break from its leadership changed the course of his journey — and how history treated him. What followed was decades of silence, omissions, and unanswered questions, only confronted much later under Narendra Modi. This isn’t nostalgia. It’s about who gets remembered, who gets erased, and why!
