My suspicion is the article is at least mostly correct.

You've gone from educating people to hating on people adoption Bitcoin and bringing Bitcoin to the masses. You really are insufferable.

Bitcoin treasury companies actually hurt real Bitcoin adoption, which means people using BTC as money every day, merchants accepting BTC, etc. You've lost the plot

There are several forms of Bitcoin adoption. 1. Savings adoption: people/companies hold BTC because it is better money over time. 2. Treasury adoption: companies use BTC as a reserve asset. 3. Capital markets adoption: BTC gets wrapped into stocks, bonds, ETFs, preferreds, credit products. 4. Payment adoption: people spend BTC daily and merchants accept it. In which way do Bitcoin Treasury Companies hurt Bitcoin payment adoption in your opinion?

BTC treasury companies hurt Bitcoin adoption by onboarding a lot of newcomers into stonks that should have been onboarded into BTC in self-custody. Families that own BTC in self-custody will be able to survive the great monetary reset, while brokerage accounts and bank accounts get wiped out or marked down or confiscated. BTC treasury companies also create large pools of BTC at large regulated custodians where they can be rehypothecated and used to suppress price, or ultimately 6102's like FDR did with American's gold in 1933. BTC treasury cos will be remembered as a gimmick and a grift. Operating companies like Apple replacing their cash and Treasuries with BTC is what real corporate adoption looks like. But all retail investors should be onboarded onto the real thing-- BTC

This last post of yours is so out there on the conspiracy spectrum, I didn't even know where to start. 🔸 In the 0.1% likelihood that the US government steals the bitcoin from 1,400 institutional MSTR shareholders and 927,000 retail MSTR shareholders, and 100 Million ETF beneficiaries of MSTR, you would probably be right. In the other 99.9% of scenarios where the US government doesn't directly steal the Bitcoin from public company shareholders, you don't have any point. Pointing to the 1933 gold seizure from from 93 years ago is a very week president for todays modern world. 🔸 Pointing to a hypothetical 'great monetary reset' is not an argument against Bitcoin Treasury Companies, but a highly unlikely conspiracy theory. If brokerage accounts, banks, and regulated property rights all get wiped out, that applies to all public company stocks, ETFs, pensions, bonds, real estate, the entire financial system and most global wealth. In such an extreme and unlikely scenario, certain companies like Strategy could still function on a Bitcoin Standard, and would own the highest value public company treasury out of all the companies in the world. 🔸 You assume MSTR buyers were all about to buy BTC and self-custody. That's not true. A lot of that capital was never going to flow into BTC cold storage. It was trapped in brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, equity mandates, funds, TradFi models, and investor psychology. MSTR did not steal those buyers from Bitcoin. It brought them closer to Bitcoin. 🔸Calling MSTR a gimmick while saying Apple buying BTC would be real corporate adoption is incoherent. Apple buying BTC is corporate adoption. Strategy buying BTC is also corporate adoption. The only difference is that Strategy had the conviction to do buy tens of Billions of Bitcoin earlier, bigger, and build the entire company around the hardest asset and the soundest money in the history of human civilisation.

@mattkratter To be fair it’s gotta be way more than 0.1% chance that MSTR gets somehow nationalized or stolen from. Let’s be honest. Im favorable to the treasury companies, but have to acknowledge this real risk (the biggest risk IMO).

@mattkratter @grok what is the chance that MSTR gets somehow nationalised by the US government or the US government forces their custodians to sell Strategy's Bitcoin for USD. Give a percentage estimate.

Extremely low. I'd estimate well under 1% over any foreseeable timeframe. Nationalizing a public US company or forcing custodians (Fidelity, Anchorage, Coinbase) to sell its BTC would require new legislation, just compensation under the 5th Amendment, and survive intense legal/political scrutiny. The 1933 gold precedent doesn't map to today's environment or a diversified corporate treasury. Sovereign risk exists for every asset class in true crises, but this specific outcome remains one of the least plausible.

FFS...never seen anyone crash so hard with so much hate...

@DissolveDC I know, Adam really has lost the plot

Yeah that's what I meant...

Adam Back vel Andy Back

Andy @adam3us, any toughts?

17 minutes of complete slandering and defamation against @adam3us and you conclude with: ''I'm not sure what's going on here'' and ''we can clear Adam's name if there is nothing going on here''. So you're just defaming Adam Back and his company @Blockstream without any proof.

Oh ffs ..give it a rest

That's how you react to an actual scandal? Did you watch the video?

Yes .. you don’t seem to understand public company disclosures

I understand them quite well-- I have a TradFi background. You don't seem to have a problem with a crook running a business

Adam EpsteinPonzi Back

I liked it better when I didn't have to wonder whether the Jade is safe or not...

It all just keeps getting crazier and crazier

Concerning. Thanks for sharing.

I am missing your educational creative content about ₿itcoin. Lately you've been turning into a btc-police force, condemning instead of teaching.

Note the diff between this and MSTR. MSTR has complete transparency, all figures are on the website. Saylor announces exactly what they did every week. You might not like what they are doing but they are not trying to hide anything. With Blockstream, who knows what's going on?

Andy back?

Must not be Satoshit eh?

Aside from the fact that Adam is the most boring person, he's also the weirdest. And clearly, the current debate is about protecting one's own interests, not about the truth or protecting Bitcoin as pure money. @GrassFedBitcoin tackles this topic brilliantly. So do you.

Andy Spack, Jack & the bCore quacks... ...'Welcome to the TwiLightning Z0NE.' ₿

This is good research. Thank you @Mattkratter for reminding bitcoiners what excellent research looks like.

@CyberPlayGround No

It's a sad state of affairs any way you look at it. 🤦♂️

Bitcoin itself is a Ponzi Scheme also created by adam back (andy back)

wrong

Nope.

Wait if Epstein was blackmailing Back for years (and apparently years after he was dead as well) doesn't bitcoin have much largest issues than op return?

@mattkratter you anti OP_RETURN fags are getting rekt kek @myrarepepe @DankDirectory @FAKERARES_XCP @TheWojakWay @CounterpartyXCP FTW

@adam3us

This is coming from the same guy who supported Trump and Tulsi Gabbard as they would keep us out of “forever wars” and “war with Iran” Can’t believe a word this guy says anymore

I voted for Trump to free Ross Ulbricht. That was the only reason:

You said Kamala Harris would destroy the USD faster than Trump, so bullshit on that #1 #2 This is a terrible decision to be a single issue voter on. I don’t care about selling drugs but this guy did try to kill multiple people, including FBI. You’re allowed to be stupid I guess

Donald Trump even makes Bernie Madoff look ethical with the Ponzi scheme he’s running on the American people. It’s embarrassing.
