Adam Driver tells us the difference between filming blockbusters like The Sequel Trilogy and ‘MEGALOPOLIS’: “There was no producers in the way, there was no one standing over Francis’ shoulder trying to nudge him… it was one of the best shooting experiences I’ve ever had”

Sometimes, the works that are the most fun to make end up being the worst. MEGALOPOLIS was one of the most incoherent films I've ever watched. Someone really should have had a bit of creative control over that production. It had all the elements but no cohesion.

Really respect Adam Driver, one of the few down to earth normal people in Hollywood

The Sequel Trilogy was way better than Megalopolis

Adam driver about why he never returned to star wars

Given the quality of Megalopolis this comes across as a ringing endorsement of the work of producers

Agree the Sequel Trilogy had ideas could have been good, but there was no consistent story that went through the three films. I think that was its biggest issue, no overarching storyline which when you have a trilogy like Star Wars, requires it! Even actors can tell!

I cant wait to see this movie

I get where he's coming from with this, but, on the other hand, look at the end result. It may have been easier with Coppolla, but the result was, well, let's say not great.

The Sequel Trilogy was better than Megalopolis, and this is coming from someone who dislikes TLJ & ROS

Having seen Megalopolis think Francis could've used a producer or two nudging him while shooting that one.
