8 different champions over 8 years isn’t a good thing either. Shows me that teams can’t be kept together.

Nigga the second apron is stupid as fuck and you need to be replaced you succa ass commish

As soon as they get rid of the second apron, people will start complaining about big-market teams outspending small-market teams. Just keep it the way it is. It's fine. People just like to complain.

Definitely not an unintended consequence. They just refuse to say the quiet thing outloud. At some point salaries across the league will slow down, because they are outpacing inflation. If they keep rising at the current rate, someone would get $100M per year in under 8 years.

Need him water boarded

I think the 2nd apron penalizes teams that draft well. Those players eventually become too expensive and the penalties for the 2nd apron are too restrictive so it forces teams to break-up homegrown teams such as the Celtics with JB deal and my Pistons are going through it w/Duren

He needs to be fired. The second apron is horrible and got teams making decisions that aren’t about basketball. That’s terrible for the league’s health.

i think @nba can do better than Adam Silver, who should have crushed flopping walking and whining to the officials all game long already

It’s bringing players to teams that may have never been considered. Equalizing winning percentage across the entire league, which makes it more competitive. I like what I’ve seen so far!

The fix is easy: Make the salaries of drafted players only affect the cap by a percentage to reward well drafting teams over those who just hire expensive FAs. Problem solved!

It’s all to empower gambling.

@JonesOnTheNBA This is good, teams have to be strategic now, the only issue i have is estimating the 10% cap increase each year and it going up 2% each year. Now thats still on the teams for trusting it but still, the cap should be going up more each year

言っとくがどのような結果であれ、ファンにもたらされる幸福は”NBAによる功績”ではない。

Bs the 2nd apron was to benefit the owners of the smaller markets because they know top talents dont wanna play for utah or Indiana so it limits large markets from hoarding them

Bald bitch smh

FRAUD COMMISH

Parity is cool but only when it comes naturally. Nerfing how teams operate & even lowering the ceilings of these eventual champions goes against everything we’ve watched in history

@JonesOnTheNBA If me as a team draft really went all great up and coming players and i have to make decision if i can keep said players on teams because of salary and avoid penalties which are taxes then yes it's terrible

@JonesOnTheNBA Silver is such an owner’s bitch. He knows exactly the intended consequence - drive down player salaries with a hard cap to give the owners more money. Period.

I don't have a problem with the second apron, and I'm a Knicks fan. It's clearly helping the competitive balance overall, 8 straight seasons with 8 new champions means all different franchises get their shot. It just means you gotta work extra hard to keep reshaping your team.

Celtics and the heat are the only team to make the finals more than once this decade…even before the CBA it was difficult. Sucks how it made the Celtics break up completely. But I think we will finally get another champ this season who has already been there this season

Garbage ass commissioner
