Adaptable Alex Robertson v Norwich I've said before that Alex is a proper old school box-to-box midfielder, can score goals, created chances but duel winning & reading the game is top. It's a shame Rangers don't have the money, as he has the qualities of a "Number 6" we...

Nkanyiso Shinga[LB]✍️🏾 A fullback that is very strong in duels✅️ ■ He is a strong boy physically, very aggressive, and times his tackles well. He is effective in winning possession back, both in 1v1 situations and by making well-timed tackles. He looks heavy, but he has some good acceleration and stamina down the left. He has a high work rate. Something our current technical team will appreciate with his game. ■ He overlaps frequently. He is comfortable in combination plays or providing more width with overlapping runs. It's his crossing I think can get better, but he is still decent. There are some good curlers from that left foot. ■ He can anticipate passing well. He is efficient in closing channels or interceptions to break up opposition attacks. He is a good reader of the game and plays with so much commitment. He creates a lot of attacking opportunities on the left. He is able to get past defenders with some speed and dribbling. Data on his crossing frequency and accuracy is not showing a lot to take home, but it's still within the range of some of our best fullbacks in the league. Also, watching his application gives some confidence that he can consistently deliver quality into the box. He is a technically decent player. His good passing abilities will be valuable in the team, both short passes to maintain possession and longer passes to switch play or find teammates in attacking positions. He gives the team multiple options defensively and offensively. ■ He likes making attacking runs on the left, but he can also invert his runs to allow the winger space to attack wide or have those 1v1 situations with opposition fullbacks. ■ The team can easily use overloads on the left, something we didn't do much last season because we often lacked attacking quality from our LBs. Kwenzokuhle Nkanyiso Shinga❤️✌🏾

People of Nabi Ball!❤️✌🏾 There is progress in this team👏🏾 The patterns need time to develop and for the team to be consistent in them. ■ The left side looked better with Mmodi and Shinga✅️ ■ We needed Duba to attack the box and be available more when these 2 attacked on the left. He dropped to the edge of the box very often. ■ Unlike in the 1st half, there was a better understanding between Shinga and the LW. When Shinga overlapped, Mmodi was willing to occupy the pockets and combine. ▪︎ When Shinga inverted, Mmodi was happy to hug the line and take his man on. This understanding was key in that side coming to life in the 2nd half. ■ What was also impressive was the ability for them to create good combinations and movements with Mdu and Duba on the offense from the left side. ■ Lilepo from the right was getting into good goal scoring positions when the left was creating in the 2nd half, but poor decisions on the ball and slow reactions were a problem. He should compete on the LW with Mmodi. ■ In the 1st half, it was Monyane and Vilakazi on the right, and 2nd half it was Mmodi and Shinga with some of our best moments in attack. Overall, you can see the general attitude of this team changing. They want to play now. They want to stay on the ball and create chances from a position of control, not rely heavily on transitional moments to create chances. We have shown signs that we can control and be patient, but when opportunities to attack comes we are relentless, and we use a lot of speed to enter the final 3rd. We just need to work on the combinations and finishing in the final 3rd. Like I said before, we are a work in progress, and we will get better only if we build on the positives and remove the negatives. Protagonist Tiki-taka is coming!❤️✌🏾

Athletico Madrid v Spurs Well, here I am again in Madrid. It’s my 4th time & I’ve not seen us win yet 🤦🏻‍♂️ We all know what happened at the Metropolitano stadium the last time, so I’m hoping for better luck this time. Tudor needs to get this team Performing tonight or he could well be toast soon. I don’t think we will get a result like the last encounter in 1963 when we won 5-1 in the European Cup final. Make no mistake, Simeone’s team is hard to beat at home with an 80% win rate. Atleti are strong, but not vintage, but still, that home advantage is huge. I expect intensity from both teams, plenty of cards, and maybe goals both ways. Their attack is so frightening, which might explain why they’ve scored 24 goals already in the UCL. It’s a big concern when we’ve conceded 2 goals a game for our last 9 games, a club record. Sorloth is a big 6ft 5 Btec Haarland threat, as is the class of Alvarez, and you just know Lookman is going to score against us. They are, however, not as strong defensively as they used to be, so I’m hoping somehow we can exploit that. Despite our lack of goals, we just need to be able to take back something to the Lane next week. With the chance to play a back 3 with Cuti, MVDV, and Danso for the first time that I can remember with Porto and Spence, I’m more hopeful. I’m going to go for a 2-2 draw, delusional probably, but without hope, there’s no point coming here to support the team. There are players in our team that will turn up and perform tonight to put themselves in the shop window looking for a move. #COYS 🤍💙

Alex Robertson - 121 Technical Analysis I have been lucky enough to work with Alex for the past 3-months now as his "Technical Analyst" & he has agreed to let me share some insights as to what we do: - Clip All Touches - Review Against Our Agreed Development Plan - Weekly Presentation of Above - Constant Communication During the Week - Monthly KPI Data Report Before starting, I did a pre-review of his matches against Mansfield & Huddersfield(Both Not Started), noted the main issue was a "Closed-Off" Body-Shape which resulted in less progression of the ball and thankfully Alex agreed. The focus from there was reviewing all scenarios, as a 6/8/10, what Alex could do more to get facing forward: - Scanning for Space - Simple Body-Shape Change - Little Adjustments to Deepen by 1-2 Yards (Vital to add, I absolutely cannot "Coach" Alex/Players, it can only be technical) It's only been 12-Weeks of Work but the improvements are clear on the "Eye-Test" but also our KPI Data: - Playing More (71min per 90 up from 41min) - 6 Goal Contributions (Up from 0) - More Chances Created (1.9 per 90 up from 0.8) - More Fwd Passes (12.1 per 9 up from 9.3) - More Final Third Passes (7.4 per 90 up from 4.1) From Alex personally he has said it has increased his "focus" helping "visualise" on the pitch & massively resulted in an "improved overall confidence" If there any players out there that would be interested in a consultation, just get in touch on which ever platform you have seen this 💙
