✈️ So nerdy but this Airbus A380 by FlyByWire Simulations has an entire cabin where you can walk around or sit while you fly in Flight Simulator 2024 Kinda hard to take off without seeing the cockpit but I tried :D Take off from Lisbon Airport to Doha 😊👌 Especially the sounds are so real, the shaking of the entire thing when taking off and then it sounds different depending where in the plane you stand and the sound becomes diffuse/bassey when you fly higher A380 is one of my fav planes to fly both in FS and real life, it's so comfy, sad it got discontinued (cause it was too big)

This key bucket by Melo has a lot going on. First, you can take as much time as u like executing the legal 2 steps (as long as you're not in the lane for >3 secs). You can also drag the back foot, not considered a step. His left foot can also pivot on floor while balancing. I don't even think it moved, just pivoted. Maybe half an inch. Not enough for a ref to be *certain* so they cannot call that, even though I don't really know if it moved anyway.

Another way of viewing the data is this time/energy graph, the left 3 graphs show potential energy at the bottom, kinetic energy in the middle and the sum of those two at the top. By climbing and descending you can convert speed into altitude and vice versa, but if the total energy increases that shows there's thrust being generated. There's definitely some odd behaviour early on where the expected climb is aborted, and then a couple of minutes later they climb a couple of thousand feet before making this turn back. while performing a controlled descent. For the last minute or so the total energy level is pretty flat meaning they had thrust, as they made that long turn towards the runway. If I were to guess the low pass across the field may have been to get below clouds and keep the field in sight.

Since some of you pointed me at this small plane crash in SoCal at Fullerton, I pulled the data and you can see the aircraft trying to fly a full pattern while losing altitude before dropping in a classic stall-spin on final - aircraft was an RV10 - N8757R Pilot could have probably just come back on 6, he clearly had the altitude initially, but it sounds like someone was taking off behind him. I'm not sure how well synchronized the communications are, but I did edit a bit out the end because you don't want to hear it.
