I have 100s of neighbors, each making their own sacrifices and tradeoffs -- 98 percent being Ethiopian or Ethiopian diaspora and about 2 percent being foreign nationals. I can only speak for myself coming from California/ Texas to Ethiopia. From my experiences, it is affordable.

Yes my private property was slightly altered, like many. Yet the value increased given the modern new roads and clean rivers adjacent. I encourage you to visit Kazanchis and other parts of Addis Ababa as the corridor project is truly remarkable. Yes, some businesses don’t work.

AA is my birthplace, it is where I grew up. On a visit about 2 years ago, I walked through the old neighborhoods of my joyful youth & found them essentially the same. Deeply walkable b/c of the people’s welcoming nature makes every stroll a pleasure. PM (mayor of AA) is crazy
