At the same time, I wanted to make sure this video reflects my honest review & opinions - So I was able to test the product and share my feedback with the Adobe team before I signed the contract to make this video

Last week I went to a talk given by @aza and @tristanharris about AI safety. One slide they shared stood out to me: "When you invent a new technology, you uncover a new set of responsibilities" This quote helped me so much and it became the starting point for this video -

@aza @tristanharris The past year has felt like a whirlwind - AI tools are coming out so fast - But we're still so so early with AI. We are at the beginning. It's not too late for us to define - what responsibilities do these companies have?

@Adobe Big problem with your comparison for how a machine learns like a human, machines don’t have eyes! They cannot see, they are fed the actual pixels. This is nothing like how a person learns and retains information. This is propaganda that seeks to spread misinformation.

@Adobe must be a really good product when you have to lie about how it works to try to keep real artists from being mad at you. this is really pathetic

this isn't how AI learns. it doesn't remember. it uses algorithm to mash up images of relevant keywords like a collage, sees and copies the pattern, and replicates with some extrapolations. human brains dont do that. our brains can't even remember like that, it will digest, reinterpret subconsciously and you often can't even reproduce the image in your mind that you really wanted to manifest. and moreover, humans have physical and aesthetic limitations and differences, even the way my muscles move and holds a pen is different from another artist and it is near impossible to simply copy another's style. it's like the work and training of an athlete. let alone how your brain and aesthetic sense actually works for each person differently . a lot of blood sweat tears to even develop your skills and style and consistency. there is a lot more that goes into it. and it is simply not possible to remember and copy something you've seen just like that. it's entirely different process.

@Adobe Thank you for asking important questions! 👍 Though the "AI learns the same way a human does" has been a long false comparison, and hurts discussions about AI. And is even dangerous. These algorithms do not learn the same way we do. & AI doesn't "understand" the subject matter.

@Adobe You're not an ethical alternative. I'm sorry, the worker replacement algorithm will not be met with open arms
