They spent 100 million dollars tuning a large language model to generate the most useful outputs possible then ruin those outputs by stuffing them with ads. If they want to run ads, they should have them display separately on the page to maintain the integrity of the outputs.

Absolutely awful development. Because now this idea spreads to others too. And yes, we should talk in a space about this.

Just imagine, VR and AR integration in everyday life, you ask your AI how to process the loss of your job and you hear "Raid Shadow Legends"

Oh oh That’s seems short sighted I could understand Google pushing it - search ad is their core revenue But Microsoft have so much more they can integrate AI with … and putting people off their AI early with shortsighted ad rev push is maybe bad strat 🤷‍♂️

We all know Microsoft is a poor little company and they needed a little bit of extra revenue.

Last time I checked they make money with ads. But now everyone will follow this and AI will subtly pitch you ads.
