Dave Meltzer on the AEW Forbidden Door live experience: "As a live show it was pretty much fantastic. I didn't think it was the best PPV of all time. Some people were like 'oh, second or third best ever,' but it was one of the best live shows I've ever seen."

Bryan: "I thought it was probably the best AEW PPV I've ever seen." Dave: "They do the best big shows I've ever seen on a consistent basis. There's a lot more moments I get scared on AEW shows than anybody else as far as the talent going too far but this was a great show, great booking, great wrestling matches and one of the best crowds they ever had."

The Redemption feedback Dave Meltzer received was very different than social media: "On Twitter it was like, this was the worst show ever. The reaction I got was very, very favorable. It probably was the weakest PPV of the year which only speaks to how great the show this year have been. There were legit 4-5 matches that would blow away anything on any PPV we get, maybe one PPV a year from WWE, on this one show." - Dave Meltzer

"I think this show, Mania... I think it's the most second guessed show that I've ever seen in the history of Mania. One of the things where they panicked was those ticket sales. People didn't even know the card, don't blame the card." - Dave Meltzer

"Live [Dynamite] was a fantastic show. Mike Bailey and Kyle Fletcher match was one of the three best matches I've ever seen in that building. I don't know how it came off on TV but it was a hot, sold out crowd." - Dave Meltzer

AEW feels like a hot promotion: "I think this was one of the best shows they've ever done. The match quality was through the roof. Maybe the best match quality of any PPV they've ever done. Incredible matches and the surprises. They felt like a very hot promotion." - Dave Meltzer

"It's an AEW PPV. All the matches are going to be good. Many of the matches are going to be great. By the standard of PPVs it was a great show. By the standard of AEW PPVs it was a good show. It wasn't like Revolution. It wasn't incredible match after incredible match but it was good match after good match." - Dave Meltzer
