"Affordability" can’t be another poll-tested slogan that politicians throw around. If we are serious, for example, about “affordability in health care,” we must ask one simple question: Why do Americans pay almost twice as much as every other major country for their care?

In my home state of Pennsylvania, the system is so broken that childcare workers would have to spend nearly half their annual salary to get care for their own kids.
