This needs to be the talking point. Raskin: If you don’t have due process rights for non citizens then we won’t have due process rights for citizens because you don’t even know who is a citizen

You can’t pretend to care about due process while demonizing immigrants and tossing legal rights out the window the second someone’s undocumented. That’s not justice. it’s authoritarian cosplay. If you’re really about the Constitution, then due process isn’t optional. Republicans keep screaming about “law and order” but seem allergic to the actual law when it applies to anyone who doesn’t fit their narrative

These Republicans believe in authoritarian rule. They don’t care about infringing on rights unless it affects them.

This is a circular self-own by Van Drew

"The Democratic Party's actions had left many U.S. citizens feeling humiliated. Signs of a Trump victory were proclaimed well before Biden withdrew from the race. The voters had had enough." 📝 @KarinaLMariani

If you don’t have due process, you can’t claim someone is an “illegal criminal”.

Raskin is brilliant. We need to hear more this.

Sheesh!!! Thank you!!! Huge W for raskin!.

Where was the due process when these people invaded our country?

The real issue? Bureaucrats weaponize due process to protect their own inefficiency. Take immigration detention—noncitizens can be jailed for years without hearings while courts drag cases through bloated systems. The NYCLU highlights how agencies like ICE waste millions detaining individuals in facilities like Batavia’s 650-bed jail, burning taxpayer cash on endless delays instead of swift resolutions. Raskin’s “due process for all” sounds noble until you realize D.C. uses it as a shield to avoid real accountability. Meanwhile, agencies like DOJ’s immigration courts operate with zero urgency, letting cases linger for months. National security isn’t up for debate, but neither is wasting your money on a broken system that serves neither justice nor efficiency. Real reform? Cut the red tape, enforce timelines, and prioritize American safety without the bureaucratic black holes.

@Acyn americans bickering over immigration semantics while moscovia’s artillery rewrites ukrainian borders. maybe save the constitutional debates for when your allies aren’t being erased?
