Important asks, However, what financial controls will be introduced to ensure funding is not diverted, but deployed to meet the needs of the most vulnerable populations, and regions? Accountability & transparency continue to be the bane of humanitarian funding.

@SaraWahedi Additional humanitarian assistance & aid shall be given through OCHA & @Refugees. Lobby to IMF-WB, BRICS & other funding organizations, not to extend grant neither loans to Taliban govt until it adopts a policy of education for all, & equal treatment of females.

The Taliban boast, ‘We defeated NATO, we defeated the US,’ but they will never defeat Afghan women. Stripped of weapons, stripped of rights—yet with nothing but their voices and their unbreakable spirit, they continue to fight.” Germany has not forgotten Afghan women—“We will always stand with them,” said Annalena Baerbock. We are calling on all countries including Canada to make gender apartheid a crime against humanity under international law. We call on you to share this video with those in government responsible for global affairs and ask them to support expanding the definition of apartheid to include gender.
