Thank you to EU Ministers for chance to join them in Dublin. My challenges to humanitarian community and supporters … Is reform yet meeting the moment? How do we reconnect with public? And who will help reimagine humanitarianism?

La resiliencia de los venezolanos es extraordinaria. En menos de dos minutos, miles de personas lo perdieron todo por los terremotos. Ahora debemos seguir brindando agua, alimentos, refugio, protección y solidaridad con resultados concretos.

Arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan. Communities have lived here in the high places for millennia. But rising temperatures are causing flash floods, landslides and avalanches. A landscape and a way of life is threatened.

Coercive displacement means millions of civilians on the move in Lebanon. I heard today in Beirut deep uncertainty, stretched resilience, growing frustration and fear. People told me they want safety, dignity, and to go home.

We must not forget #Sudan. Almost 10 months of conflict have robbed the people of Sudan of nearly everything. We are appealing for US$4.1 billion to meet the needs of civilians inside the country and those who have fled to neighbouring countries.

Loads of questions, loads of answers. Check out the latest Ask Me Anything: Istanbul edition on my Instagram.

Driving on the road from Gaza City to Khan Younis yesterday.

The Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) stands for humanitarian delivery. We’re turning the Humanitarian Reset into action – prioritizing, shifting power to local responders and making tough choices on who is best placed to deliver lifesaving support.

The Gaza Famine is the world’s famine. A preventable, predictable famine. Enough. Ceasefire. Open all crossings, north and south. Let us get food in, unimpeded and at massive scale.

Just a few days until these corridors are full of world leaders. The critics of the UN and humanitarian action are also out in force. Can we prove them wrong?👇 #UNGA

We’re at business end of UN week. Let’s now test if commitments translate to lives saved. All week, local leaders – not me – have led us. We passed yesterday 40m people reached so far this year. In awe of humanitarian movement that has done that, against the odds.

A detailed stocktake on UN Week with Mina Al-Oraibi of The National.

Handshakes, meetings and photos are not how humanitarians will measure impact of UN General Assembly next week. We want serious action on the four huge risks running out of control.👇 #UNGA81

We shouldn’t need this conference.

El Niño is back, and it is more powerful than ever. We must act urgently to limit the impact. With World Meteorological Organization, we have set out the potential impact. And called for action.

Proud of our Humanitarian Country Team in Colombia - UN agencies, NGOs, local organizations working as one - for their courage and expertise in responding to yesterday’s earthquake.

Three reasons why today in Brussels matters 👇

Intense day 4 at UN week. Working on getting vital Winter supplies into Gaza, containing Ebola, and clearing the mines in Syria so more people can go home.

I spent last night in Kyiv as another series of massive attacks hit. Homes. A hospital. A school. At least 15 people killed, more than 30 injured. An insight into the reality for so many living through this war.

So, for those killed and those whose voices are silenced: what more evidence do you need? Will you act now – decisively – to prevent genocide in Gaza and to ensure respect for international humanitarian law? This Council must prevail. Demand this ends.

We’re working hard across the humanitarian community to protect lives after ferocious floods left hundreds killed. In Nepal, UN and NGO teams are moving food, medicine and shelter to communities. More in my interview on Al Jazeera English

Aid workers are protected under international humanitarian law. Yet marked humanitarian vehicles are still being hit. Local organizations face greatest risks. Those funding and fuelling today’s wars must do more to protect humanitarians. The Associated Press interview:

Counting down the days for the biggest week for the United Nations. Will world leaders come prepared to take the tough decisions to meet the moment? 👇 #UNGA81

We’re seeing huge devastation in Nepal. Hundreds dead and missing. Roads gone. Bridges swept away. We are facing huge obstacles to reach people and save lives. Interview on CNN:

Latest humanitarian situation in Gaza, impact of aid cuts, and a story of hope and Irish leadership in meeting global challenges - my interview with RTÉ News Six One News from Dublin. 👇

We are fully mobilised and coordinated in response to the terrible Nepal floods. Here’s how it works.
