@notostudios I’ve never really been into MMORPG’s since I’m a huge lover to Tac FPS and its satisfaction towards rewarding those with good game sense. But this description has spiked my interest 👀. So is this game based around gathering resources and hunting down foes for their resources🤔?

I didn’t expect Crimson Desert to grow on me this much, but here we are. 🫢 After putting more hours into Crimson Desert and getting close to the ten hour mark, I’ll be honest: my opinion of the game has shifted in a much more positive direction. Combat feels significantly better now that I’ve unlocked more skills, exploration is a ton of fun, and while the story is basically nonexistent, I personally don’t mind since I’m not the type of player who needs heavy narrative to enjoy a game. I’ve also done a few puzzles, and so far I’m really enjoying them. I genuinely appreciate that the game does not hold your hand. Enough with the yellow paint in every modern game. Developers should just force us to actually think 🤣 I’m constantly unlocking or discovering something new every couple of minutes. The game is absolutely massive. On the technical side, most of the visual issues I had are now gone after turning off DLSS and playing at native resolution, along with lowering lighting from Max to Cinematic. One of these changes, or maybe both, made the game far more stable, and visually it now looks phenomenal. I still find myself stopping just to admire how beautiful it is. My rating has gone from a 7-7.5 to an 8.5-9, and based on what I’ve played so far, that jump feels completely justified. The overall takeaway is that Crimson Desert does not fully click until you unlock more of its systems. The early hours undersell it, but once combat, exploration, puzzles and the world open up, the experience becomes dramatically better. I also love this intro when you start the game or load a save. It gives the whole experience a special feeling and sets the tone perfectly every single time. :)

Today I am having to share one of the hardest messages of my career. After twelve years of building and nurturing Three Fields Entertainment, I am forced into the situation of today placing our entire team on notice of redundancy. Since the launch of *Wreckreation*, our small studio has worked incredibly hard — with heart and dedication — to update the game, listen to our community, and deliver the fixes and features players asked for. I could not be prouder of the people I’ve worked alongside or the passion they’ve poured into this project. But the reality we now face is stark. As an independent studio, we will not see revenue from game sales for the foreseeable future. We have had to self-fund most of this year and all of the post launch content. Without the enthusiasm or financial support from our publisher to continue development, we simply cannot sustain the studio in its current form. Making this decision has been unbelievably painful. This is a heartbreaking moment for all of us. What makes it even harder is that we have so many things in the pipeline — multiple features, updates, and creative ideas that we were excited to bring to the game, many of which are showcased in the video we’re sharing today. These are things we genuinely believed would have continued to strengthen Wreckreation and grow its community. My hope is that by showing this work publicly, someone out there might also see that potential and perhaps an opportunity could still emerge. But even if that hope does not materialise, we want this to stand as a testament to our vision and to the strength, passion, and skill of our tiny team. I truly believe in the potential of this game and in the brilliance of the people who built it. To everyone who has supported us, played our games, or believed in our studio: thank you. Your support has meant the world - We will, again at our own cost, ensure the next update that includes a Crossplay feature does get published before Christmas and we hope you and your friends can enjoy the world that we have built together, whichever platform you play on. Its not often Im lost for words, but last night this stopped me in my tracks. Just over 3 years ago my content changed alot when I went sober and I got a lot of stick for my shift in direction. After spending years trying to get back to doing comedy, to suddenly change was terrifying. But, my social media, my characters, my jokes and my content has always been in some way a reflection of my life and my life became a battle for change, I embarked on the most difficult journey of my life, its still a constant struggle, but talking about what drink & drugs were doing to my mental health and my family helped me understand and share what I was going through. Through that process Ive lost friends and family, followers, brand deals, business and I get constant criticism and negative comments when I discuss certain things, it can be triggering and to be honest a bit annoying im sure. But, there is a core group of you that have stuck with me for the comedy and let me talk about mental health, sobriety and the darkness some of us face, and a few of you that are here for the sobriety stuff but put up with my jokes along the way, to all of you thank you…. But.. Every now and then I see a comment, or a message, or at one of my live show’s someone says something like “You saved my life” and it hits me, its worth sharing, its worth the shame, embarrassment and comments, its all been worth it, because every now and then it really helps someone feel like they aren’t alone. And can change. Thank you mate, thank you for telling me that. I needed to hear it. x
