Apoplectic Super Typhoon Sinlaku, now with winds of 155 MPH, has a chance to become just the 4th CAT 4+ system to directly impact these islands. She has double eyewalls rotating around the cylindrically vertical Stadium Effect of her 919 MBAR eye, and her outer rainbands have begun to lash the Northern Mariana chain. Jaw-dropping satellite and radar imagery of Super Typhoon Bavi as it barrels toward the southern portion of the Mariana Islands, including Guam. Notice on radar the abundance of tornadic supercells in the western semicircle of the storm...this is quite unusual for a Northern Hemisphere tropical cyclone, as they're usually found in the eastern semicircle.
