After completing the road construction work, the administration left loose pebbles scattered on the road. Since then, cars and bikes have been slipping at that spot. Accidents are happening repeatedly. Who will take responsibility for this negligence ? Why is the Indian system so lazy and careless ?

The Teok-Sivasagar Highway is an important road in the Jorhat region, critical for boosting connectivity. Work for several portions of the road has been ‘ongoing’ for the past several years. The condition of the road is deplorable. From frequent accidents to long traffic jams, this portion is affected with several issues. Several contractors have been brought in and left the job mid-way. Multiple tenders of work have been issued, to no effect. People are facing severe inconvenience. I urge Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari to intervene and take immediate action. Shri Gadkari has visited Jorhat in the recent past. I’m optimistic that he will take the necessary steps to ensure work is completed at the earliest and people don’t have to suffer indiscriminately.

The road construction on Princess Park Street has been progressing quite well and we grateful for the continued support and patience of the community and road users. The final road layer is in progress and it is anticipated that the surfacing be completed by Friday 12 December 2025. The safety of the road users is the core priority and it is for this reason that the Roads and Transport will implement pre-markings and install temporary stop signs for the entire festive season as the road will be open for traffic soon. As the MMC for Roads and Transport I have visited the site on regular basis since the commencement of construction ,to ensure that the set milestones and commitments to the residents of Tshwane are fulfilled.

There’s the hole in Onitsha-Owerri road around Ozobulu axis, that has been causing Accidents and killing people. A popular Lagos base trader died at that spot 3 days ago. The spot is under rehabilitation and the contractor didn't put enough warning signs for road users on that spot, hence causing a lot of accidents. Something needs to be done urgently to correct this.

Just today, three separate accidents occurred on the same road in Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way Kaduna State, killing three people and injuring several others. Yet, neither the governor, the deputy governor, nor any government official was present at the scene. And this is not the first time. After the Rain showed me serious shege at Lapaz after work this evening it got me thinking… Why do most of our major highways flood after even the least rainfall? At Lapaz, the sidewalks are occupied by hawkers, so pedestrians are forced to use the edge of the road. But when the road is flooded too, what options do people have? You either risk slipping, getting splashed by cars, or walking through dirty water just to get home. Is this normal? Because for major roads and highways, shouldn’t proper drainage be a basic priority?

This is the junction of 1st Parklands Avenue and Masari Road. All buildings on the left of the road from Mpaka Road to Limuru Road have been erected on the banks of a river. The road behind was washed away after the river reclaimed its course. The developers should finance the construction of the entire 1st Parklands Avenue to standard accommodating the developments, build a stronger canal, storm water drainage and pedestrian walkways.

This road is currently under construction. It’s the 100km concrete road construction by Dangote, FG and Ogun State through the tax credit scheme that we have been showing you guys. He went to the point where construction has not gotten to and did this.

Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) when exactly will actual construction begin on the Nanyuki–Rumuruti road? Which sections are under a signed contract with a contractor visibly on the ground? For context, this road has been listed for upgrade since 2022.

Having driven down to Maphisa yesterday to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Zimbabwe’s Independence I remain deeply concerned about the state of the road to Maphisa. Although construction work has been done on virtually the whole length of the road it is nowhere near finished. In fact for much of the length of the road all that has been done is the grading of either side of what used to be narrow tar. The narrow bridges remain the same and the old narrow tar is in very bad condition. In fact most the road was extremely dangerous. I recognize that contractors are still on site and had parked their construction vehicles to facilitate the high volume of traffic yesterday, so remain hopeful that they will remain on the road until it has been completed all the way from Bulawayo to Maphisa. My fear is that now that Independence Day is over that the contractors will move elsewhere leaving most of the road in a worse state than it was before the work started. I have already had one report of construction vehicles being moved to Masvingo and hope that isn’t going to be a trend. I call on Government to confirm that construction will continue along the entire length of the road and to give an indication when it expects the road to be finished.

The Construction Work of the Metro Railway near Kaikhali on the VIP Road for the Airport-New Garia Orange Line Metro Route has been going on for quite some time now. Thousands, if not lakhs of vehicles ply on this road regularly. I have two questions for the Bidhannagar Police:- a) If the Construction Work is unsafe then why have your Traffic Department not made adequate arrangements earlier for the safety of the Public and allowed them to risk their lives by traveling on that 'dangerous' stretch of road? Public safety is not a matter of concern for you? b) Or, by asking to temporarily pause the Construction Work of the Metro Railway, you are trying to massage the ego of the CM, because when #Hirak_Rani travels everything should come to a halt?
