Safety Checks Carried Out at Pattaya Entertainment Venues Following Deadly Bangkok Fire Following the deadly fire at an entertainment venue in Soi Lat Phrao 1, Bangkok, which claimed multiple lives and raised nationwide concerns about safety standards at nightlife venues, Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong has ordered all relevant agencies to intensify inspections of entertainment businesses across the province. The focus is on Pattaya, one of Thailand’s busiest tourist destinations, where large numbers of visitors use nightlife venues every day. At 8.30pm on July 13, 2026, Chonburi Deputy Governor Isara Charoenchasri led a multi-agency inspection team in Pattaya. Joining him were Bang Lamung District Chief Anusak Piriyamorn, Pattaya City Police Chief Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyu, Pattaya Deputy City Clerk Kiatsak Sriwongchai, Tourist Police, district administration officials, and other relevant agencies. The inspections were carried out under the governor’s directive, with officers examining emergency escape routes, exit signage, emergency lighting systems, and fire extinguishers to improve safety for residents and tourists. A total of seven entertainment venues were inspected, including three venues outside designated entertainment zones and four within licensed entertainment zones. The inspections also covered several large venues along Walking Street in South Pattaya, one of the city’s busiest tourist areas. Officials found a number of safety deficiencies at several venues. These included an insufficient number of emergency exit signs, too few fire extinguishers for the size of the premises, and inadequate emergency lighting systems. Business operators were instructed to correct the issues immediately, while Pattaya City officials and the Bang Lamung District Office were ordered to conduct follow-up inspections to ensure compliance. Deputy Governor Isara Charoenchasri said the inspections were ordered in response to the devastating Bangkok fire, which resulted in significant loss of life. He said Chonburi Province is particularly concerned because Pattaya has a high concentration of entertainment venues and attracts large numbers of tourists. He explained that inspections are focusing on building readiness, including emergency escape routes, fire suppression equipment, obstacles blocking evacuation paths, and interior decorative materials which may increase the risk of fire. Operators have been instructed to bring their premises up to safety standards as quickly as possible to reduce risks in the event of an emergency. He stressed that protecting both residents and tourists remains the province’s highest priority and is essential to maintaining confidence in Pattaya’s reputation as a safe international tourism destination. 🎬 Pattaya News Online #ข่าวด่วน #ไฟไหม้ #กรุงเทพมหานคร #ไฟไหม้ผับลาดพร้าว #ไฟไหม้กรุงเทพ #Bangkok #Pattaya

Bulldozer Action on Muslim Minority Homes in Assam* JUH Delegation Visits Affected Areas in Goalpara District, Submits Memorandum to Assam Government Demanding Immediate Rehabilitation and Compensation* New Delhi/Goalpara, 15 July 2025:Acting on the direction of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani, a high-level delegation of the organization today visited the Goalpara district of Assam, where a recent demolition drive by the state government resulted in the destruction of 3,973 houses in the Ashudubi and Hasilabil areas. Most of the displaced families belong to the Bengali-origin Muslim minority. It is worth noting that Jamiat Ulama Assam has stepped in to provide immediate relief, setting up temporary shelters (tents) for the displaced families and initiating efforts to support the affected population. The delegation met with affected families, visited the demolition sites, and assessed the on-ground humanitarian situation. Deeply moved by the scale of displacement and suffering, the delegation extended assurance of all possible support from the organization. A memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, through the District Magistrate, calling the demolition drive inhuman, unconstitutional, and driven by religious discrimination. The memorandum highlighted that demolition was selectively carried out in Muslim-majority areas, particularly targeting Bengali-origin Muslim residents, while similar settlements of other communities remained untouched—an alarming case of state bias and discrimination. The memorandum also noted that many of the affected families have been residing in these areas for over 70 to 80 years, and are legitimate Indian citizens, many of whom were earlier displaced by erosion caused by the Brahmaputra River. Evicting them without due process violates legal rights, constitutional protections, and Supreme Court directives. In several cases, the demolitions were allegedly executed to serve private or industrial interests, with no prior notice given to the occupants. The memorandum strongly demanded immediate rehabilitation and compensation for all affected families, utilization of government khas land available in Assam for relocation, provision of interim relief, including food and shelter, until permanent arrangements are made Preliminary Fact-Finding Report: Jamiat Ulama Assam According to a preliminary report submitted by Maulana Badruddin Ajmal (President, Jamiat Ulama Assam) and Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Qasmi (General Secretary), the demolition drives from November 2023 to July 2025 have affected a total of 8,115 families across Goalpara, Dhubri, and Nalbari districts, displacing more than 32,530 individuals, including women, children, and the elderly. The report further documents the demolition of 21 mosques, 44 maktabs/madrasas, and 9 Eidgahs, reflecting the disproportionate targeting of religious and community institutions. While Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has initiated relief efforts by providing food, shelter, and medical aid, the current resources are inadequate to meet the scale of the crisis. Urgent and expanded government intervention is essential to address the humanitarian emergency and restore justice to the displaced.

Over the past few days, I have been personally monitoring and reviewing the relief and rehabilitation efforts underway across the flood and landslide-affected areas of North Bengal following the extreme rainfall earlier this month. Day before yesterday, I had visited Hasimara in Alipurduar, and yesterday, I travelled to Nagrakata, Chalsa, Mal, and Kurseong, meeting affected families, interacting with officials, and overseeing the ongoing restoration work on the ground. Today, I shall visit the other side of Mirik to personally assess the situation in the landslide-affected areas and ensure that every affected person receives the support they need. Tomorrow, I will convene an administrative meeting for Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Mirik. During my visit to Nagrakata, I interacted with the residents at the relief camps in Bamandanga and Tandoo, ensuring that food, shelter, and medical facilities are being provided without interruption. I also reviewed the repair work of the Tanatani Bridge over the river Gathia, which was severely damaged during the flash floods, and later inspected the Kalikhola Bridge, now restored by the Public Works Department. At the Bamandanga relief camp, I had the opportunity to hand over appointment letters for Home Guard employment to the family members of flood victims as part of our comprehensive rehabilitation initiative. Ten beneficiaries, including eight from Jalpaiguri and two from Cooch Behar, received their letters today. I have also announced that every family whose house has been damaged in the calamity will receive financial assistance of ₹1.2 lakh for reconstruction under our State scheme. Our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkaar has mobilised all resources to ensure comprehensive, round-the-clock relief operations. Special camps have been set up to help citizens recover essential documents lost in the floods, while students who lost their books are being provided new study materials. Food kits, disaster management supplies, and other essentials are being distributed extensively across all affected areas. Natural calamities are beyond our control, but our compassion, preparedness, and collective resolve define our response. The courage, grit, and perseverance of the people of North Bengal continue to inspire me. Our State Government will remain by your side, every hour, every day, until normalcy is fully restored.

9th August - IDPs and Shelter Needs in Northwest and Southern #Tigray Since November 2020, a devastating in Tigray has triggered a severe humanitarian crisis in the Tigray region. According to the IOM Data Tracking Matrix (DTM), in June 2024 alone, an additional 33,100 people were displaced in the Tigray region, bringing the total number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to over 840,815 out of which over 146,893 individuals are living in collective centers or have formed informal settlements, often in harsh conditions. In the Northwestern Tigray region, where the weather can be extreme, makeshift shelters constructed with grass and other substandard materials are vulnerable to heavy rains and strong winds. These IDPs face immense challenges, including a severe lack of adequate shelter and essential non-food items (NFIs) such as cooking utensils, bedding, and hygiene kits. Despite the desperate need, assistance has been limited, leaving many without sufficient protection and support. Financial constraints have further compounded the issue, with many IDPs unable to afford rent. Consequently, they have moved from host communities into overcrowded collective centers, including schools and public buildings, where the living conditions are cramped and unsanitary. On average, more than 10 households are crammed into a single room, exacerbating the already difficult circumstances. The crisis is most acute in the Northwestern Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia, particularly in districts (woredas) like Seyemti Adiyabo, Asgede, Sheraro, and Tahtay Adiyabo. The situation remains critical, with urgent needs for shelter, non-food items, and cash-based interventions, especially rental support, to improve these displaced populations' living conditions and safety. The required support includes emergency shelter construction, distribution of basic household items, and rental support, all crucial for addressing the pressing needs of the affected communities. BREAKING: A major flash-flood disaster has hit Nepal’s Rasuwa district, near the border with Tibet/China, after an event early Wednesday morning caused catastrophic flooding along the Trishuli and Bhotekoshi river systems. According to preliminary information presented by Nepal’s Foreign Minister, an earthquake struck the area at around 08:37 local time, apparently triggering an avalanche that then caused a sudden release of water and severe flash flooding. Authorities are still verifying the exact chain of events, so this remains preliminary. The flooding has caused major damage on both the Nepalese and Chinese sides of the border. On the Nepalese side, Rasuwa and Nuwakot appear to be among the worst affected areas. At least 17 people have been confirmed dead in Nepal, while dozens remain missing. Nepalese authorities say 26 police officers, nine Armed Police Force personnel and 44 military personnel are currently missing, alongside customs and immigration officials. The damage to infrastructure is extensive. Authorities report that at least 19 bridges and around 40 kilometres of roads have been damaged, while multiple hydropower projects have also been affected. The Independent Power Producers’ Association of Nepal says 13 hydropower projects in Rasuwa and Nuwakot were damaged. The important Rasuwagadhi border crossing with China has been closed, with reports that roads, bridges and customs infrastructure were swept away. More than 200 cargo trucks are believed to have been caught in the flooding, while many workers remain unaccounted for. There are also serious concerns about people trapped or missing at hydropower projects. Around 60 workers at the 20 MW Langtang Khola hydropower project in Syafrubesi have reportedly gone missing. The disaster is also affecting tourists. Nepal’s Tourism Board says 291 foreign tourists and 93 Nepali nationals were reported unreachable following the flooding. Rasuwa is an important route for pilgrims traveling toward Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet, as well as trekkers visiting the Langtang region. On the Chinese side, Chinese state media are reporting major casualties from a mudslide at a trade hub in Tibet, with President Xi Jinping ordering all-out search and rescue efforts and stronger monitoring to prevent secondary disasters. Nepal says it is coordinating with China as rescue operations continue. This is still a developing disaster. The number of casualties and missing people is expected to change as rescue teams reach areas that have been cut off, and the full extent of the damage is not yet known.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered all-out efforts to search and rescue people who are missing after a mudslide in Nepal caused casualties at Gyirong border port in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on Wednesday morning. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, called for efforts to evacuate residents at risk and provide timely medical treatment to the injured to minimize casualties. He made the instructions after a mudslide occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on August 26 in Nepal, which caused severe casualties and left people unaccounted for at Gyirong border port in Gyirong County. Xi also stressed the need to strengthen monitoring and early warning, ensure scientific rescue operations and guard against secondary disasters. Noting that China is currently in a critical period of flood control, he urged local authorities and relevant departments to prepare for worst-case scenarios and extreme situations, fully implement measures for flood and typhoon prevention, and step up efforts to identify and address potential risks and hazards. He demanded resolute action to prevent major and catastrophic disasters and accidents and safeguard people's lives and property. Chinese Premier Li Qiang also issued instructions, calling for an immediate verification of the number of the missing and affected people and for all-out rescue and relief efforts. Li Qiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, instructed the Chinese Foreign Ministry to strengthen communication and coordination with relevant countries, promptly share information and work together to properly handle rescue and relief efforts. 🚨What Are You Doing at the Migrant Shelters, Eric? Here’s the truth , sources state. ⚠️ New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been quietly moving migrants from HERRC (Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers), funded by the city, into Department of Homeless Services (DHS) shelters, which are backed by federal dollars. This shift, confirmed by sources at multiple migrant shelters and hotels, appears to be Adams’ strategy to ease the immense financial burden on New York City as the cost of the migrant crisis soars to $5.6 billion annually. HERRC, operated by Health and Hospitals, is funded by New York City taxpayers, while DHS facilities receive federal funding. By moving migrants into federally funded DHS shelters, Adams is aiming to shift the financial burden away from the city and onto federal programs. For more than a year, Adams and his staff have publicly complained about the overwhelming expenses tied to the migrant influx, repeatedly asking the federal government for help. Having spent time at City Hall, I witnessed firsthand how frustrated Adams and his team became—if Adams had hair, he would have pulled it out from the stress of dealing with this crisis. The rising costs have led to deep budget cuts across the city, impacting key agencies and essential services. New Yorkers are feeling the effects as resources are redirected toward managing the migrant situation, leaving other critical areas underfunded. Now, Adams finds himself at the center of a federal indictment, which he claims is politically motivated. According to the mayor, the indictment is retaliation for his vocal criticism of the federal government's handling of the migrant crisis. Former President Donald Trump has even come out in support of Adams, backing the claim that the federal probe is linked to Adams' outspokenness on the crisis. While Adams' decision to move migrants to federally funded shelters may offer some financial relief, it raises bigger questions: Is this a short-term fix or a way to deflect growing criticism? With figures like Trump weighing in, the spotlight on Adams is only getting brighter, and the pressure to find a long-term solution continues to mount. When the people of Bengal are in distress, I feel their suffering as my own. The recent heavy rainfall and landslides have caused severe flooding across North Bengal, leading to the tragic loss of lives, livelihoods, and property. Dhupguri, Nagrakata, large parts of Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar, as well as Matigara, Jorebunglow Sukhiapokhri, Mirik, and other areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong, are among the worst affected. Today, I visited Hasimara and Nagrakata, meeting families and locals, assessing their needs, and assuring them of the full support and cooperation of the State Government. Our Chief Secretary and Director General of Police are on the front lines, personally monitoring the situation, while senior leaders, volunteers, and the State Disaster Management Force continue to carry out rescue and relief operations on a war footing. We have arranged buses to evacuate stranded tourists, opened community kitchens and relief camps to provide food and shelter, and announced compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs and a Home Guard position for the families of those who have lost their lives. Tea garden workers who have suffered losses will also receive compensation from the State Government in the coming days. I have repeatedly urged the Centre to constitute an Indo-Bhutan River Commission, but there has been no response. In addition, the lack of proper dredging and desiltation, and unilateral water releases from DVC-controlled dams have compounded the situation, resulting in avoidable tragedies. But in times of crisis, politics must never take precedence over people’s lives. The State Government remains committed to standing shoulder to shoulder with those affected. I urge everyone to maintain faith, remain calm, and not fall prey to provocations. Compassion, empathy, and humanity must guide us all.

Four Key Questions on Gyirong Mudslide in China’s Xizang A mudslide that began on the Nepalese side of the border on the morning of August 26 hit the Gyirong Port area in Gyirong county, Shigatse (Xigaze), Xizang autonomous region, leaving five people dead and 558 remained missing as of 3 p.m. on Friday. Rescue work is continuing. How have rescue operations progressed? Gyirong township lies on the southern slope of the Himalayas, bordering Nepal. Its steep terrain and narrow valleys have made rescue operations extremely difficult. Rescuers said mud in the core disaster area was more than 1.5 meters deep, while possible ground subsidence further slowed the movement of personnel and machinery. The mudslide also destroyed sections of the river valley. Multiple rescue forces have been sent to the front line. Forces from the Chinese PLA Xizang Military Command, armed police force, fire and rescue teams, the China Search and Rescue Team and China Anneng Group - which specializes in the engineering element of rescue operations - have joined the operation. Shigatse has activated a Level I emergency response for natural disaster relief. What caused the disaster? Experts at the Ministry of Natural Resources said the disaster was triggered by the collapse of a high-altitude glacier in Nepal. The falling ice rushed downhill at high speed, sweeping up moraine deposits and turning into a debris flow. It then entered the Donglin Zangbo River, forming a mudslide that struck Gyirong Port and continued downstream through the canyon. The debris flow moved at an estimated speed of about 50 meters per second and affected an area more than 20 kilometers away. Rescuers said the terrain encountered by the mudslide as it rushed downstream did little to slow or absorb its force, making its impact especially destructive when it reached Gyirong Port. They said the disaster originated in a high-altitude, complex mountainous area of Nepal, where source-area inspections are difficult and early warning signs are hard to detect. Gyirong Port is a major trade channel between China and Nepal, with concentrated personnel, buildings and business activities. Rescuers said casualty figures may be higher because the disaster occurred during daytime working hours. What challenges do rescuers face? Rescuers said the main challenges are unstable terrain, damaged roads, poor weather and disrupted communications. Local authorities said a barrier lake had formed upstream after the ice collapse, posing a threat to downstream rescue work. Mudslides were still occurring near Langdang Snow Mountain, and drones were being used to monitor the lake because of fast-flowing river water and unsafe ground conditions. Road damage has also slowed rescue access. A section about 3 kilometers from the main disaster site was damaged. Rain, fading light, fast-flowing and deep river water further added the difficulty of rescue work. Meteorological authorities have forecast frequent rain in Gyirong county until Sunday, with heavy rain possible in some low-altitude southern townships, along with high temperature variation between night and day. Mountain torrents, mudslides and Mudslides may occur in some areas. How are affected people being aided? After the disaster, national authorities activated a Level-II emergency response for disaster relief, the second-highest in China's four-level disaster relief emergency response system, and the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management allocated 120 million yuan ($17.85 million) in central disaster relief funds. Local governments have organized evacuations and temporary resettlement. Shigatse has allocated more than 15,000 relief items, including tents, blankets, cold-weather clothing, folding beds and daily necessities.

BREAKING: FEMA Whistleblower Goes Public, Reveals Agency’s Focus on “DEI Initiatives” Over Disaster Response: “There Are Higher Priorities Given to Different Racial Groups” “The number one goal of FEMA is to instill equity in emergency management. It's not to save lives. It's not to create stronger communities that will weather future disasters,” revealed Kelsey Goodman, a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Emergency Manager for REGION 4. Goodman has come forward to discuss concerns about FEMA’s response to recent disaster-stricken communities. After Hurricane Helene, North Carolina residents reported seeing few FEMA responders on the ground, despite widespread devastation and flooding. Many people, Goodman observed, were "videoing themselves stranded" with little to no visible federal help. She described how “residents are very upset. They don't see FEMA on the ground,” adding, “We are not there, and they're very frustrated.” Goodman expressed frustration about FEMA’s approach, stating that their internal narrative differed from the experiences of those in the affected areas. She explained that, internally, employees were told they were doing everything right, and “Anyone who has a problem with the way we're doing things, they're bad actors, they're spreading misinformation.” She detailed FEMA’s increasing focus on equity initiatives, revealing, "We are prioritizing disadvantaged communities when there's no clear definition of what that is,” Goodman said. According to her, this focus is detracting from FEMA’s core mission to assist all Americans facing urgent needs after disasters. “When you're dedicating that time and those resources to things that you can't tie to fact… you're not dedicating to the things that matter, which is helping American families stay safe.” Despite potential risks, Goodman explained her motivation for coming forward: “If you feel a calling from the Lord…you need to speak the truth.” She called on FEMA to refocus on disaster response essentials, stating, “We have the resources. We need to get back to basics and use them to actually help people.”

HII MVUA NI SERIOUS PIGIA GEOFFREY MOSIRIA! Emergency contact:1508. BE CAREFUL NAIROBIANS! Heavy rains are currently being experienced across Nairobi, and I urge all city residents to exercise extreme caution during this period. Motorists are advised to avoid overspeeding, especially now that many roads have become flooded and slippery. Please drive carefully to prevent accidents. Residents living near rivers and riparian areas are strongly advised to move at least 30 meters from both sides of the river, or up to 60 meters in areas where flooding may be more intense, to avoid danger in the event of river overflow. Members of the public should also avoid walking or crossing through fast-moving floodwaters, as strong currents can easily sweep someone away when least expected. The current flooding challenges are largely linked to the fact that Nairobi’s drainage infrastructure was designed many years ago, at a time when the city had a much smaller population and less urban development. Today, large sections of the city are covered with concrete and other impermeable surfaces, which significantly reduces the natural absorption of rainwater into the soil. As a result, large volumes of stormwater are forced into drainage systems that were not designed to handle such capacity, leading to flooding in several parts of the city. Through the existing collaboration framework between the National Government and the County Government, plans are underway to comprehensively upgrade and expand the city’s stormwater drainage infrastructure. The objective is to significantly increase its capacity and resilience so that it can effectively serve Nairobi’s growing population and support the city’s needs for the next 100 years plus. As part of these interventions, all illegal structures constructed on top of drainage systems, along drainage corridors, and along main roads obstructing stormwater flow will be removed without negotiation. Additionally, individuals occupying riparian reserves within 30 meters on both sides of rivers will be relocated unconditionally. These measures are necessary because public safety remains the government’s highest priority, and we cannot wait until lives are lost before taking preventive action. Residents are therefore urged to cooperate with the relevant authorities as we implement these measures aimed at protecting lives, preventing flooding, safeguarding infrastructure, and building a more resilient, well-planned, and sustainable Nairobi for current and future generations.

I receive regular reports from Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko and our military commanders on the aftermath of Russia’s massive strike. More than 440 drones and 32 missiles were used. Kyiv has faced one of the most horrific attacks. Also, overnight, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Kyiv regions were attacked. Right now in Kyiv, efforts are underway to rescue people from under the rubble of an ordinary residential building — it's still unclear how many remain trapped. The Russians destroyed an entire section of the apartment block. In total, buildings in eight districts of Kyiv have been damaged. Response efforts are still ongoing after the strike on Odesa. Emergency workers are operating at all the sites of impact. All the affected are receiving the necessary assistance. 75 people have been reported injured. As of now, 15 people are confirmed dead. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Such attacks are pure terrorism. And the whole world, the United States, and Europe must finally respond as a civilized society responds to terrorists. Putin does this solely because he can afford to continue the war. He wants the war to go on. It is wrong when the powerful of this world turn a blind eye to it. We are in contact with all partners at every possible level to ensure an appropriate response. It is the terrorists who must feel the pain, not innocent peaceful people.

Today, I am proud to submit a balanced budget that is fiscally responsible and strengthens our social safety net—so even in the face of federal cuts, San Franciscans know they can count on this city. If you walk down the street in San Francisco, you will see a city that’s alive: young people in parks, tourists enjoying our restaurants, and police officers talking to small business owners while walking the beat. There’s no doubt our city is moving in the right direction—and we still have so much work left to do. When families across San Francisco sit down for dinner at night, the rising cost of rent, healthcare, food, and gas has many asking whether they can afford to stay. In a region as wealthy as this one, in a moment where the world is looking to San Francisco to define the future, we cannot leave people behind—hard-working San Franciscans who make this city the vibrant, dynamic place we all know and love. This year’s budget closes a $642 million dollar two-year deficit—moving our city forward for all San Franciscans. I presented this budget this afternoon from one of the city’s benefits centers in the Mission, where hundreds of San Franciscans come every day to access healthcare, food assistance, and employment services. This budget strengthens the work happening right here, using funding from the emergency reserve we established last year to respond to sweeping federal cuts. It also funds critical public safety improvements, protects legal services for immigrant families, continues support for LGBTQ+ residents, and invests in proven programs that help keep families housed, move young people out of homelessness, and connect people to treatment. In San Francisco, we are proving that common sense and discipline can drive a broad economic recovery. In the weeks ahead, I will partner with Board President Mandelman, Budget Chair Chan, and the entire Board of Supervisors to finalize this budget. Last year, we stabilized the city’s finances. This year, in the face of new challenges, we are continuing to stand together as San Franciscans. San Francisco is a city on the rise, and we are not leaving anyone behind.

Kyiv region is experiencing a blackout following a Russian strike on December 27. Russia is trying to create a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine, to torment civilians, especially the most vulnerable people - the elderly, the sick, the babies. ▪️ Vyshhorod, in northern Kyiv region, has been without electricity for four days now. About 30,000 people live in the city. For most residents, power has been out since the attack and has yet to be restored. In modern residential complexes that rely entirely on electricity, elevators are not working, water has to be carried by hand, and cooking is only possible in homes with gas or private generators. People are trying to help each other out. Neighbors with gas stoves invite others to cook, local chat groups offer access to power outlets, warm rooms, and assistance for elderly residents. People share portable chargers, charging stations, and extension cables. Groups of residents gather to charge their devices in supermarkets, cafés, gas stations, and other places where electricity is available thanks to generators. In the first hours of the Russian attack, everything went out at once: electricity, water, and heating. Heat supply was partially restored relatively quickly, but remains intermittent. In buildings with electric boiler systems, the situation is critical - without power, neither pumps nor heating systems can operate. As of the morning of December 30, around 9,500 families in Vyshhorod remain without electricity and exposed to cold temperatures. Emergency services and volunteers have installed high-capacity generators near residential buildings, helping maintain heat in at least 22 apartment blocks. Water is supplied on a limited schedule - in the morning and evening - while gas supply remains stable. Energy workers are operating around the clock, but the damage caused by Russia to local infrastructure is severe. Earlier, officials gave tentative restoration deadlines - first December 30, then December 31. However, residents say these dates have already been postponed several times. The situation remains difficult in other parts of Kyiv region, including Boryspil and Brovary districts. On the left bank of Kyiv, emergency outages are still in effect, as attempts to return to scheduled power cuts are disrupted by network overloads. The Ministry of Energy reports that over the past week more than 40 targeted Russian attacks on energy facilities have been recorded, along with over 100 instances of damage. Weather has added to the problem. We have lower temperatures, snow and strong winds these days. Russia deliberately times its attacks when it gets colder to inflict even more damage and bring more suffering. 📹: State Emergency Service of Kyiv Region
