Jeffrey Sachs: We fought trillions of dollars worth of wars at the behest of the Israel Lobby, at the behest of Netanyahu. Netanyahu was the great cheerleader for the Iraq War. Toxic is a disaster but the paid negative campaign against the film is highly condemnable. There are some people within the film industry who seem to enjoy being commentators instead of concentrating on their own films. Their relevance is increasingly relegated to commenting on what is going right or wrong with the industry, while they remain hesitant and unsure about their own work. But here’s the larger point: no amount of negativity can stop a genuinely good film. Animal faced tremendous negativity, but alongside it were people proudly saying they had watched the film three, four, even five times. Once that wave of genuine audience excitement took over, nothing could stop the film from becoming a huge success. The same happened with Dhurandhar. Negative videos were made, criticism came from different quarters, but there was also a much bigger wave of people absolutely loving the film. When positive word of mouth becomes overwhelming, manufactured negativity simply cannot overpower it. Toxic, unfortunately, has a flawed and disjointed screenplay. It simply does not work for most parts. Yash is a superstar. He has acted well, and he is bound to learn from this experience. Everyone is allowed to fail. One unsuccessful film cannot take away what he has achieved, and I’m sure Yash will come back stronger. But as of now, Toxic is simply not working. That’s it. Your thoughts?

Reaching 4th Battalion, Mamnoor, Warangal this evening as part of my district visit felt like coming back home. I began my career here as an ASP trainee in the early 90s and later served as ASP- Warangal Rural, when the region was a stronghold of naxals. Those were challenging years and we risked our lives. At the Battalion, I was warmly received by ADG (TGSP) Sanjay Kumar Jain, Warangal CP Swetha and Commandant D. Shiva Prasad Reddy. One of the oldest and largest battalions, it played a crucial role in tackling Naxalism and continues to support major police operations, large-scale deployments and disaster response.I toured the campus and reviewed infrastructure, quarters, deployments and disaster response equipment. In my interaction with the personnel, I stressed transparency in duty allotments and transfers, and on the operational front underscored on the importance of faster mobilisation and deployments. Noted their concerns on transfers, promotions, housing and operational issues and assured them of redressal as per procedures. Also urged them to stay away from drugs and online betting, protect their families too from these vices and actively support the anti-narcotics drive. In the evening CP Warangal hosted a dinner get together for district officers in commissionerate headquarters. These interactions strengthen coordination and teamwork. Night halt in Warangal. NEW: Mother who lost her son and husband in the Titan submarine disaster, says their remains were returned as "slush" in tiny shoeboxes. Christine Dawood told the Guardian that there was a large pile of mixed slush that they couldn't separate. She said it took nine months for her to receive her husband's & son's remains. "We didn’t get the bodies for nine months. Well, when I say bodies, I mean the slush that was left. They came in two small boxes, like shoeboxes," she told the Guardian. After an intervention by #GHMC, a solution was put in place. Construction for this was for 1 year or 2 years or more. People waited though it was an inconvenience! Now, today with the rains, it became much worse. Water clogging is super increased and problem aggravated. Pls see video. Impact to lives are huge - economical, liveability, health, hygiene, various other movement problems and more inconvenience. Such a failure project and scene!
