🚨🚨2-ALARM FIRE Tucson Fire was dispatched to a call of fire nature unknown at 3:37 this afternoon in the 3100 block of East 22nd Street. Engine 3 arrived six minutes later and reported smoke coming from the back door on and eaves of an abandoned AM/PM. A full alarm was called, and crews started to search for the source of the fire. As seen in this video, there was a significant fire event. The roof collapsed, and operations shifted to a defensive mode. At this time, crews are unable to enter the building to extinguish remaining hot spots, and excavators will be used to tear it down. Firefighters were on the roof when it collapsed, but they were uninjured, as was the individual seen in the video. This video highlights the dangers our crews face every time they battle a fire, and we are thankful that everyone is safe. The fire was caused by homeless activity.

New: A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a bullet in a possible extortion-related shooting in Surrey’s Whalley area early this morning. Her partner told me she was lying in bed, trying to sleep, when the bullet hit her left shoulder. He says that she’s a 26 year old international student. Said they had just said goodnight when he felt a vibration from the next room. Moments later, she staggered in clutching her shoulder, bleeding from a gunshot wound. At least seven shots were fired into a home packed with people - as many as 20 residents, all renting rooms in the same house. Another resident said he moved in just a week ago - after the previous house he was renting, in the 10700-block of 141 St, was shot at on Oct. 6. The owner of that house, is apparently the landlord of this one as well. Surrey Police Service says it’s investigating links to extortion.

Three wanted suspects have been killed in a gunfight with KZN police in Kranskop during the early hours of this morning. According to the SAPS: "Police acted on intelligence which uncovered the whereabout of the suspects and when they approached a residence at Mambulu area, a shootout ensued between police and an unknown number of suspects. Three suspects were shot and fatally wounded during the shootout and they were found in possession of firearms." The men are linked to this brazen cash van robbery in Kranskop in April this year, where one robber was killed in the explosion. During the incident, the gunmen also fired shots at the local police station. More armed suspects - who were able to escape arrest this morning - are still being sought. The Police investigation indicates that a shepherd was attacked earlier that day then robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. Thereafter, the suspects are believed to have fled the scene in two bakkies with trailers when their vehicles got stuck in the mud, leading to their capture and attack by the mob. Two bakkies were also torched during the incident.

The autopsy report reveals that N Surbala was hit by a bullet from a sniper rifle. She and her daughter were kneeling down on the ground to evade firing and drone strikes when she got hit by a bullet in the head while her daughter suffered a bullet injury in the arm. This sweet little daughter still doesn't know that her mother is no more. She has been shoved into a life without her mother.
