Then, following the public outcry from Canadians due to the lack of representation, he will 'reluctantly' bend to the public will and bring Canada fully into the EU.

I hear it as a lie because each phrase he speaks has a rising inflection at the end (each sentence sounds like he’s asking a question). The internal question he’s asking each time is ‘are you buying this? Do you believe me?’

He is seeking the same relationship with the EU as Norway. Norway is not a EU member but the EU controls Norway's energy industry which includes the North Sea oil, and immigration. Carney wants the EU in charge of Canadian enegry and immigration. Our parliament in Ottawa will be reduced to a mere franchise of Brussels.
