I have the cheese shredding one... It SUUUUCKS! and is dull AF! I have the pasta and the meat grinder attachments, but the cheese shredding one is absolutely USELESS! See my video attached... 🤦‍♂️ 😡

I have one. I would not use those attachments, with the exception of the pasta roller. A food processor is better at almost all of these tasks, easier to clean, cheaper than the attachments, and cheaper to replace, so it's better to save the wear and tear on your mixer motor.

Ain’t nobody making fucking butter with their mixer. Just stop.

Opt for the metal attachments -especially the "grinder"! even if you can only afford one attachment. The plastic grinder is a waste of money because they don't even grind the meat properly before they break 😒

Mine is extremely useful. It keeps my cookbooks from falling over.

I used to make butter every week in a kitchen aid many years ago but I haven’t done it in ages. I did discover (also many years ago) that I can make butter in a vitamix in like 45 seconds

I would use mine more if I had the extra $1500 amount of attachments

The problem is that I already own the individual appliances and tools. I already got suckered into buy albums, 8-track tapes, cassette tapes, CDs, and now digital. 😂

Someone educate me because I’m intrigued now: when you buy a kitchen aid how many of these attachments does it come with?

Use the paddle attachment and put boneless cooked chicken/turkey/chuck roast in the bowl, start on low then slowly increase speed. You will have shredded meat in under a minute.

Show us the shed you have to keep all the accessories in. Seriously though, Do all the attachments take up a lot of storage room?

With this kind of machine, I do most of the things you see. Except juicing. I also have this grain mill. A grain mill is fantastic.

Looks more like an ad for all the attachments….and seriously, who would use this to shred cheese instead of just getting out the grater?

No you’re not…I blew the transmission on my kitchen aide mixture, by using the meat grinding attachment. My husband overhauled the tranny on that mixer & I bought a heavy duty meat grinder on Amazon for $125 bucks. Now, I use it for what that $ 400 buck mixer was created for…mixing batches of cookies.

The dog snoot just in frame shows he’s a fan of all that prep work near the edge of the counter as well!

There are better uses for a mixer than this, she missed the most obvious which is breads of all kinds which are very expensive and low quality in grocery stores.

Over the years, I’ve collected most of these. Honestly, I just use a knife and cutting board for all the slicing, shredding and dicing features. Most have cast aluminum parts and can’t be washed in the dishwasher. After multiple cuts trying to wash by hand, I gave up!

Mine is still in the box after getting it as a wedding gift in 2017. This changes things.

I hav wall these machines separately and I still think I made it out paying less 🤣 BUT that does save a huge amount of space and that almost makes it worth it

My Kitchen aide broke making bagels. Cheap plastic gears. Maybe an older one with metal gears could handle it but not newer ones.

My husband just tore mine down to service it this morning. If you don’t have the glass mixing bowls with lids and the meat grinder you’re you are missing out.

What you lost: time (Unless you’re doing it together with your kids/ significant other ofc 😅)

I do all of those things except for juicing. Yes it's a wonderful friend! Don't buy pasta people...
