Based on the brainwaves most probably in a state similar to dreaming. Which is where people's reports of their "life flashing before their eyes" comes from I suspect. That's when people claim to see Angels, God or whatever...

So basically we will still be about to think/hear and process 10 min after death. That sounds like the final guilt trip to heaven!
