11 m/s? Bolt, why didn’t you run the Beijing humanoid robot marathon? 🤖🏃‍♂️ MirrorMe just posted a new video of its full-size humanoid robot Bolt hitting 11 m/s indoors. In outdoor 100-meter testing, Bolt has also pushed to 10 m/s. That number says everything. Back in February, MirrorMe introduced Bolt as a speed-first humanoid: 177 cm tall, 75 kg, built around a 10 m/s peak-speed target. For a humanoid robot, this is not fast walking. This is sprint territory. MirrorMe has been chasing robot speed since 2016. From Black Panther II to Bolt, the direction is clear: push robotic locomotion closer to elite human athletic performance. Now Bolt has moved from a 10 m/s debut to an indoor 11 m/s run. So I only have one question: Why wasn’t this robot on the Beijing humanoid robot marathon track?

A test: A staff member frequently interrupts the robot to see if Astribot S1 can recognize the empty cup until it correctly selects it, picks it up, and autonomously fills it with popcorn, all in one go. A simple human action is difficult for a humanoid robot (AI). In real-world situations, with many uncertain environmental distractions, such as a crowded table, unprocessed order labels, and an empty cup, a humanoid robot must make precise decisions and actions to be truly effective. P.S. You can try Optimus next time you're at the Tesla Diner.

Unlike Boston Dynamics' Atlas, which is designed for industrial settings, the Matrix-3 is a general-purpose humanoid robot intended initially for service-oriented environments such as supermarkets, hotels, and office buildings. Standing 1.7 meters tall and weighing 65 kilograms, the adult-sized robot features a full-body covering of biomimetic fabric integrated with tactile sensors, as well as humanoid biomimetic muscles. It employs linear joints rather than the mainstream rotary joints. Matrix claims it is capable of pulling or pushing a load of 200 kg. Optimus makes extensive use of linear joints (linear actuators). It is equipped with dexterous hands offering 27 DOF and boasts a battery life of 4 hours. The robot is powered by a model named WAVE(like an E2E World Action Model) Matrix states that it has already established a manufacturing facility in Shanghai's Zhangjiang with an annual production capacity of 10,000 units.
