The world tells you to "follow your heart." God tells you to seek His wisdom. The very first temptation in the Garden of Eden wasn't just about eating fruit, it was about choosing wisdom apart from God. The serpent promised that by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve would "be like God" (Genesis 3:5). They reached for wisdom on their own terms instead of trusting the One who is Wisdom itself. The result wasn't freedom, it was sin, shame, and separation from God. We still face that same choice every day. Will we build our lives on our own understanding, or will we humbly seek God's? If you want to grow in true wisdom: • Read God's Word daily. His truth renews your mind. • Pray for wisdom. God promises to give it generously to those who ask (James 1:5). • Fear the Lord. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Proverbs 9:10) • Surround yourself with godly, wise people who will speak truth into your life. • Obey what God has already revealed. Wisdom grows when we put His Word into practice. • Stay teachable. Pride blocks wisdom, but humility invites it. The smartest person in the room isn't the one with the highest IQ.
