Every year they go 'AI could never' and then AI does it and then they keep moving the goal post further and further back. AI is getting scary good at how fast it improves. Next year you're probably going to see clips that are getting closer and closer to being indistinguishable

Official animation has its ups and downs, but as long as they're not pressured with limited time and with designs on-model, it will be magnificent.

Not a very good example, because I'm pretty sure AI will be able to replicate visual effects like that and more. What AI will certainly never be able to replicate is the abstract part of art; the feelings in between the lines, the emotions conveyed. But visual effects? Come on.
